Fly
Why must I die to grow wings to fly
soar like the eagles into the blue
It is not the same riding in a plane
you can never have that view.
Reason
Emotions cannot contain
with anger shouts explain
Words that no one will hear
frustrations won't belong
when reason calls for calm
love ends in flowing tears.
Quiet
Moderation in tone
as a cat hunts alone
sneaking without disturb
never speaking a word
silent as a fawn at risk
giving a sleeping baby a kiss
whispers soft
covering a cough
calm is the still of night
as a mouse in flight
a secret never told
as the sleepers dream unfolds...
No one can take my baby
‘cause she was meant for me.
My baby and I go cruisin’
and that’s when I feel free.
My baby takes me anywhere
that I could want to be.
Playing tunes, I take her
down curves that lead to the sea.
My baby looks cool, top down.
She’s smooth and she is fast.
The wind caresses us
as the shoreline we go past.
My baby’s built for comfort.
I stop and then recline,
gazing into the night
and feeling ever so fine.
My baby doesn’t mind
a single thing I do.
She’s just as sweet today
as when she was brand new.
My baby doesn’t get jealous
when I leave her until dawn.
She knows when the morning comes
again I’ll be turning her on.
I spend the night with my honey.
We both get up for the day.
I turn my baby on; she purrs
and she carries me away.
My baby’s a convertible -
a Mustang perfect for me.
My honey can jump in his jeep.
With my baby a while I’ll be!

EXPECTING TO FLY
You watch outside the window at the bird's nest
Watching the baby bird leaning on the mother's breast
I want to give the mother and baby a wave
But I think they just want to rest before they engage
The baby is still very young
And the young bird flying has just begun
I know the baby bird flying will start slow
But it's just nice watching this little bird start to grow
The baby bird is just starting to stand
Without its mother lending a helping hand
When the baby bird starts to fly
It won't start very high
And I hope it will not be the bird's last goodbye
It was a rainy day at dawn
And I looked outside and they were gone
I don't know where they flew to
All I know they just flew the coup
Uncle Moon so far away,
jaggery donut cooked for the day,
You come and eat in the courtyard,
for Baby, a cup is prepared.
Uncle moon afar, twinkling star,
Please come on the river banks, near or far,
Please bring rice and milk porridge in a golden pot,
So that baby takes a sip, with a quiet strut,
Sweetness in his mouth, like a secret hut.
Hush, little baby, don't you cry,
Momma's gonna sing you a lullaby.
With stars above and dreams so sweet,
Drift away on a cloud, my sweet.
That’s the pirate KING!
I started laughing, as arrows began to zing.
One hit me in the neck with a ding-a-ling-ding.
I guess you don’t make fun of the pirate king.
But he is a small kitten, I sang in a sing.
He is just a tabby, a baby, a tiny young thing.
I was clobbered over the head with a hammer that had a ring.
I guess you don’t make fun of the pirate king.
Pug puckered up
Gave the baby a kiss
No one noticed
Not his mother, father,
Or his nanny, a miss
Pug walked away, satisfied and happy
A dog who is sentimental and a bit sappy
Baby woke up and thought something was weird
But had no knowledge of the deed,
So no culprit was accused, convicted or cleared
A baby, a child, brings joy to the world
wide-eyed innocence, a propensity for words
Children take it all in, every nuance, nothing blurred
Who dares say they should be seen, never heard
Every month, ovulating
Yearning, breathing in and out
In and out, breathing – inhaling
Exhaling, panting, gasping
Yearning, begging, pleading
Please, God, please!
Every month, echoing
The past months, the years
The tears adding up, rivers
Of yearning, hopes shattered
Moons coming and going,
Hearts breaking, interrupting
The prayers for a small cry,
Every month, praying, praying
Imploring God for a child
Little eyes, small fingers, toes
To count and kiss, breathing
In and out, the prayers,
Beseeching, entreating, praying
Every month, the blood
Drenching soft linens,
Soaking like tears, softly falling
Quenching the dreams
The echoing of prayers, yearning
Hope doused, darkness all around
Optimism fading into the shadows
Every month, a heart swells with hope
Then breaks, crushed by the weight
Of silence in the nursery,
Emptiness in the arms who long
To hold a baby, a little one, a light of life!

So, this bunny was really hungry I guessed.
The old weathered snail was testy in his nest.
That bunny was trying to steal our carrots he said.
This old codger was wrinkled, older, should have been dead.
That baby bunny must have been hungry to dig.
I said to this old codger, whose hair should have been a wig.
He is a thief! The old geezer said, not giving the baby a chance.
I walked away rapidly, almost doing a dance.
My Son
The day you came I smiled
I laughed as I smiled
You are a baby, a baby from the womb
You have arrived in a place called earth
Now that you are here, listen to me my son
Never stop loving, but first yourself
Never stop dreaming, dream bigger
Chase your dreams, a lot is out there to be achieved
Don't settle for less, a lot is better
And when I die, I know I will
Don't forget to sing my favourite hymn, How great thou art
Before the casket matches me to eternity.
And when I go to my fathers, I will tell them;
I am the father of my son
Some dullhead dropped a puppy off in the country
Not realizing he would find his way to Nirvana
Our house
He is the size of a pony but has a sweet disposition
Our cocker spaniel is terrified of this German shepherd mix
Our twelve-year-old cat has disappeared
Animal control came by
Congratulated us. He is not chipped. You can keep him.
We said that was not our intention as they waved goodbye
Apparently they have no more rooms for a dog.
I am trying to find this baby a home.
I have put ads in social media.
I have advertised his photo, and given him a great rep.
My husband has named him Buddy.
He’ll be sleeping in my bed in a week.
A butterfly, fluttering
Calipiller feet walking
God’s Quieting’s
A sleeping baby a-coo’s
A grandma’s hug oohs!
A puppy’s lick on your cheek (O' so sweet)
God’s Quieting’s
A flagrant smell
God awesomeness
Natures view insightfulness
All these blessings are just…
Parts of…
God’s Quieting’s

A mother's love can run deep
just how deep is that love
deep enough for all to see.
A loving mother gives up her baby
a baby she loves
a baby she wants to keep.
Another mother gives love Another mother gives her time Another mother to the rescue.
We all give something givers of small and large giving a baby a life is the ultimate giver.

Hey baby. A world of endless awaking moments. With just you.
Come on baby, under gold dust and black-velvet sky. With just you.
Hey baby. Wave of ember flames, passionate eyes so sensuous,
I can't get enough being tangled, bare, wondrous high. With just you.
Fluttering butterflies arouses lambent ardent love affair,
flowering within me, baby, a lull comfort cry. With just you.
Hey baby, I dream of balmy rhythm breathes, the dawns yet to come,
numb kisses, great love, piece of fragment world left awry. With just you.
I crave not just a dream, but a life of forever, never death.
Bathe in sun's hypnotic spell before it hurries by. With just you.

You made me a little sofa for my dollhouse,
With a piece of cloth and an empty matchbox
The other day was the doll’s wedding, a happy time
Then you cooked me rice pudding in little saucers
There was a small bed also, in my dollhouse, lovely and cute
I was waiting patiently to ask you for my next thing
To knit me a dress for the doll, and I will gift it to the baby.
The sunlight gradually gets condensed and thick
The sunlight reflects on the murmuring tree leaves
And the sunlight reflects on your dark, black hair;
You unconsciously let your hair fall to its full length
And you were knitting a garment, with warmth and love.
For a new baby, a new member of the family, much-awaited.
The little one will warm every chord in these winter days.
