You take joy in seeing my heart bleed,
Because of your avarice and greed.
The pains you caused come with no reprieve,
Yet you’ve the audacity to leave.
I invested every ounce in you,
Your ponderings control all I do.
My bitter cries you heedlessly sought,
Yet you’re blind to the hatred you brought.
How can your mind ever be at peace,
When the sadness you give does not cease?
You bury my joy far out of reach,
When your love is all I ever preach.
Away from you, joy will surely flee,
Though it seems arduous to foresee.
But so long as breath lives in your lungs,
Deep grief will lace the words on your tongue.
Almost there but not quite,
stuporous effort fails,
for unless we’re the light,
our deluded heart wails,
whence struck by ego’s blight.
Almost there but not quite,
we tend to oscillate,
in trance by day and night,
as ego spawned thoughts bait,
making us crouch in fright.
Almost there but not quite,
we’re twirled about by fate,
sorrowful of our plight,
trapped in fear, lust and hate,
that makes us feel contrite.
Almost there but not quite,
holding steady resolve,
our aura pure and white,
breath by breath we evolve,
seeing God, with clear sight.
The spiritual mountain is an arduous climb.
Just keep looking up. Don't glance at behind..
It's bound to get tougher the higher one goes.
Be careful where you step and grasp with those toes..
Climb above this world with it's problems and hatred,
as you strive to keep your thoughts positive and sacred..
When the climb makes you weary deep to your soul,
keep those eyes on the summit, that ultimate goal..
the leeway of cosmos stand perplexing
grueling strained in this way
enlightenment darkened

Arduous Seeker, you
of fame and fortune
Avoid it easy as Lazy Old I ~
to stress immune
Poesy's an arduous art;
it requires skill and strict meter
and a poet of strong, rare heart;
or he will soon tire and teeter.
Poesy's an arduous art;
one must be a well-trained poet
to deftly pen poems subtly smart
and lyrical and not blow it.
Poesy's an arduous art;
a poet needs to be real sharp,
or his songs will just fall apart
with the pluck of the minstrel's harp.
Poesy's an arduous art;
from inspiration to the end,
even from the very first cold start,
a poet's measure should transcend.
Life is arduous, solid, firm...
light, simple is to break
rocks ... it is laborious to live ...
much further intense
exhausting is writing
books and to find poetry...!
Travails nor toils so edgy,
Hilly roads nor heights dizzy,
Nor arduous journey,
Ye call it a pilgrimage,
I, picnic spots, what a rage!

Poet’s Note: Pilgrimages are increasingly turning into picnic spots what with smooth roads, infrastructure to cater to visitors, and comfortable facilities. People arrive in all comforts as tourists rather than pilgrims of old times under a lot of hardships that they faced willingly and as a matter of fact. Things are a changing.

R-ough and rigorous road
A-llows your eyes to see
T-he hard and gruelling labor
O-f the long and arduous journey.
C-omplete the arduous duty,
R-efrain from being negligent;
I-t's a task given by God,
S-tay vigorous and diligent.
L-aborious or arduous duty
I-s done through faith and love;
Z-ealously uphold your fervor,
A-im to please the Father above.
R-emain strong and steadfast,
D-oing your function ardently;
O-n Thursday February fifteenth, stay firm with arduous duty.

in his intoxicating poetry
whetted her insatiable
hunger for allegories'
drunken semblances,
quenched an arid thirst
parched of reality,
as she fully indulged
a 'roused appetite
amidst gratifying
brandied fruits &
abundantly aromatic spice
of his arduous delights
In arduous times
Angels flake like confetti
Though soft as snowflakes
Poetry's an arduous art.

You are my saving grace…you never left me without a trace
You traced tranquility on my lips…I need to get a grip…how I long for His accord…
life could be easy or hard – don’t discard the talent of a brainless, yet clever
bard…I still have the hearts to outrun all of the negativity and tragedies coming
my way – life’s arduous adventures are like a mystery card – where does your
heart dwell? Are you spellbound in your shame-packed shell?
I long to pick up the shards of my heart and run this race
We are as sturdy and grand as a thousand ships – peace will come to us if peace
is what we can afford…maybe, it will be our award…if we look up to God – I’m
wishing for His flourishing, fantastic and flawless Kingdom to dawn upon us; but
first, let us work hard to earn liberty on the highest level…we’ll sing in unison and
we’ll be together again – but, that’s another story to tell
