''An Arduous Art'' Augmented

Poesy's an arduous art;
     it requires skill and strict meter
and a poet of strong, rare heart;   
     or he will soon tire and teeter.

Poesy's an arduous art;
     one must be a well-trained poet
to deftly pen poems subtly smart  
     and lyrical and not blow it.

Poesy's an arduous art;
     a poet needs to be real sharp,
or his songs will just fall apart 
     with the pluck of the minstrel's harp.

Poesy's an arduous art;
     from inspiration to the end,
even from the very first cold start,
     a poet's measure should transcend.
