A FREEFLOW APATHETIC INVESTMENT: AN ALLEGORY MOMENT

Know that today’s war is
A real power mongering,
Money-making investment:
Mudering innocence lives,
A part of the bloody returns:-
Ironically, to ignore this investment,
Is a moneyless investment itself.
However, the return is abject hypocrisy:-
And so-called “legal murdering”,
Of defenseless human beings,
Is of little concern for us
Beings who declare we
Are for human equity,
Freedom, justice,
And democracy:-
How long will we wallow
In the mockery of such beliefs?!
Come on now, let’s evoke peace
And get to depressing today’s war:
Icing out heated political muderings:-

Premium Member OVER SIXTY YEARS

Since I am over sixty,
Me, people try to console!
They give all advice to soothe my soul!
I tell them that I am in fine fettle,
They fail to understand my mettle!
I tell them not to be sympathetic!
Who listens? Each one is apathetic!

Fallen nature greets
Towards the beautiful life
Worst heart cannot hug

The Apathetic Generalisation

a million ways
children dying everywhere
anywhere is too close
Politicians dancing while its people die
some starting fights
with their brothers
and don't get me started
my arm still hurts from disinfectant shot
Aliens are checking to see if we have died yet

Similes For An Apathetic Perspective

the words sting on the way down
burn my throat
like tequila without a chaser
and slosh in the belly of my soul

"I don't want you anymore"

awaken the dull ache
salt the wound that never heals
but like rain on a cloudy day
it's a familiar feeling

Apathetic Dusty Shelves

Apocryphal embellishments of

a non-canonical secret society,

teeming amidst a dubious

enterprising authenticity,

exposure's excessed stormy decay of

  tormented poet's crushing blows,

ego's wild oats fruitlessly sown

rampaged rush to save their own flesh,

poesy's wildflower blooms wilted

under acid rein's torridity of seduction,

hence poetry's infertile demise unto

dusty shelves' apathetic surrender

Apathetic To Your Positivity

Apathetic to your positivity.

We keep on running, because we can’t stand still.
We keep on climbing, because we have got to get up the hill.
We keep on searching for a better thrill.
We are humans and we strive to advance, using all of our will.

Forward we march, dragging the weaker man with us.
Onward we go, for the good of our health.
Drop and give me, twenty one-handed push-ups;
I am too lazy to evolve, so keep your thoughts to yourself.

You can advance the entire human race
And you have my full support.
As long as that doesn’t require anything from me.

I will not hinder your quest to find out more,
But I cannot bring myself to need anything but peace
And a place to be alone without your positivity.

Bleached shells catch the sun
and throw it back again,
pearled cup-hearts smoothly clean,
long ago picked bare,
the forgotten feasts of ghost birds.

Waves lick forlorn sands
but cannot coax those dispassionate shells
to frolic in the happy surf;
empty, they choose the dry beach
just out of reach of happiness.

Premium Member More Than Machines

Face to face they stand
Brain to brain
Two-eyed flesh machine
And one-eyed plastic terminal
Interacting systems
Inputting, outputting, precious data.

Face to face they sit
A complex team
Driven to perform
With error-free precision
In a controlled mini-world
Ruled by instant communication.

Face to face they lie
Worlds apart
Stark, cold plastic eye
Flashing programmed data;
Warm, sentimental flesh eyes
Flashing non-programmable twinkles.

Face to face they act
Separate and alone-
Ruled by the giant, apathetic-
God of Technology.

Young and Apathetic

making fun of an
apathetic young
man, slightly older
than me
i reminded me
somewhat of myself
and i chose not to care
being unconcerned,
reminding me again
of that young
apathetic man

Apathetic

Self-worth over colony
Apathetic worker bee
Vast reduction of honey
Hive’s disparity

Apathetic

Passionless I see each new day arrive and depart.
I shall not falter upon any deed.
I betray not
Why is this feeling plaguing my mind and spirit?
I was never insensible to my deity.
Or ever will be.
Listless I lay upon the life before me and beyond.
Apathetically I continue with a plea.
I will awake.

Apathetic

What to do? What should he say?
Where will he be after this day?
The monster wasn’t really interested,
The monster knew, he was being tested.
These infernal days led him to ignore,
He knew he’ll walk through the door;
The door that separates life from death,
He knew that this could be his last breath.
Why should he worry, why should he fret?
He had faced death, he’d known the set.
Silently he got up, and went to the window,
Staring at the silver clouds way below.

So calmly he looked out to the sky,
Acknowledging in two days, he’d die.
