If there's no light, I'll create it.
If there's no fire, I'll make Warmth.
If kindness is lacking,
I'll gently place my hand on the wound.
If the ether is missing, I'll call it.
If the shelter is crumbling, I'll fix it.
If home is unreachable,
I'll build another with integrity and might.
If the joy is no longer, I'll find it.
If the spark is out, I'll light it.
If conciousness is gone,
I'll sit with you quietly to remember.
If the noise is too loud, I'll bring quiet.
If the quiet is too loud, I'll bring poetry.
If meaning is no longer present,
I'll remind you of how time and space aligned so we could look into each other
When the joke's begun, it made you tense
They like poking fun, at your expense
Then laugh till they're blue, and choke on phlegm
When they laugh at you, the joke's on them
So, laugh when they laugh, it's up to you
You can gaff the gaff, they put you through
Just brush off their snide, and cold reply
When hushed deep inside, you wanna cry
If I was a fuchsia flower you’d be kind to me
Watering my spirit with kindness and dreams
As you are not a people person it seems
When you are throwing shade and yelling
How you love plants is very interesting
You fuss over them lovingly giving
Yet soon as you see your flesh and blood
How your voice changes words low as mud
If people were plants you’d grow them well
Your plant romance is amazing like a spell
You speak kindly to your beloved greenery
Saving thorns for your kids to see and eat
Is it because plants don’t talk back
Is it because they are green not black
And you’re miserable inside you lack
The pink instincts with which to stack
Grow green words that indigo inspire
Float like butterfly with flowery desire
If you have such a green thumb especially
Why inspire numbness when you talk to me
Reverse Psychology...
Bad cop?
Good cop?
a COP out is a copout
Do NOT pout
Be about-
What it is about;
I need a drink.
But heck man, what do you think?
Is drinking too much
When out of touch?
such things, but whatever life brings...
We can still sing praise to our Lord Jesus Christ
I will NOT think twice.
In my life many things have "begotten" me divided
In two sided battles some tattle
Some grow rattles on their tails
Others become snails
I am a snake and I bite
I fight
And I just might have some good skin
Left for the taken
Call me a "wallet"
Friends called me an ATM
Been there done that when
There was NO such thing as sin
Just saying
Friend
In Devon, Gina was mad at Sarah and so
Took Sarah's kitten, to the kitchen did go
Put it the microwave, pushed the button in
Kitten died in pain, I'd call that a sin.
Two teens in Juniata did the same as a prank
For them its fun, but to me it stank.
Is it something missing in the mind, or converse
A dark side that drives their morals in reverse?
Two teens in Alberta broke into a home, so brave
Smashed it up, put the cat in a microwave
Listened to it scream in pain before it died
Painted two mocking messages on the side.
Two teen girls in Maine put a cat - guess where:
They made a video on social media to share
Sharing cruelty is not very bright
Not every agrees that such deeds are right.
These humans got into trouble, because not all agree:
That fun with cats goes with humanity.
And yet, I eat animals every day
I put out mouse traps, throw dead mice away.
I guess the difference is that I don't want to cause pain
But some people do, though not clinically insane
Its part of the human condition that they are out there
Know your surroundings, take heed and take care.
There are times when nobody can save
You could be that cat in the microwave.
When the mirror shattered it took my vision
Eyes cut so deep my tears were red
Broken and despaired no light reached my eye
Reflecting on myself without a mirror
Appearances cost so much
Broken glass everywhere all I can feel is silver
I hate the fake me but they just want more
Silver ain’t good enough, they only want gold.
Said I was special but secretly despised me
Projecting their flaws onto me
I can’t blame them
Clown is a clown no matter how funny
A Carnival of carnivores
Eat the meat discard the bones
Wish someone would toss me some
But I am beyond repair
My name is mirror man
But not anymore
Who am I now?
Just a man?
Puppet, dolly,toy
Stringed and tied marionette
I’m not part of this
To
this blue
lawn
came
the lutenist
Thulia whose
snow
belt whistled "WEALTH!" to town-
ish bullies bent on howling down the
bowl-
ing hall of whatnots just arrived
for Beast or Plunge Day.
Racist liar is last writer about love; he is full of hatred.
Fake love and write are natural results of fake personality.
Humanity
is vapid
so even if
I was fat
or even if
I had the
body of an
hourglass
other women
on the Internet
would still
find many
shallow reasons
to loudly
judge me
for how
I look
even though
I am often
kind to them,
and that
is why their
praises always
feel hollow.
The miserable
and the unhappy
like to
bother me
on Tumblr
by sending
me stupid asks
telling me
I'm "running
in circles"
when I am
mostly at peace
and
just doing
my own thing
while healing
and recovering
from the pain
of my deep past
but these
so called occultists
are mere frauds
with no talent
and I notice
they like
to try to
destroy my joy
because it seems
to make them
feel something
deep inside
that they
cannot feel at all
unless they try
to dim my light.
I did not
have friends
when I was
little
because
other Latines
in Chicago
didn't want
to befriend
the local
autistic
weird girl
or deal
with the
stigma
of being
associated
with the
adopted.
Just like
Setsuna Meioh
I guarded
a time door
to ancient
memories
for what
felt like
an eternity
and that
isolation
is basically
why I tend
to still choose
to be alone
even though
I know that
I do have
friends now.
Note: Setsuna Meioh does not belong to me. But she is one of Naoko Takeuchi's fictional characters whose essence resonates with me the most out of all the Sailor Senshi.
The shortest poem is a name .....
which is buried in my heart
no one can remove,
the one who taught me wisdom
who is no other than my father
Lutchman Mahasingh.
31 syllables Thank you for this
I wish I wasn't so aware.
I constantly question my awareness.
Am I looking too deeply into it?
Or is that what's truly being shown?
I see these girls,
so confident and bold,
and then there's me.
I don't fit in.
No matter how much makeup I put on,
or how baggy my jeans are,
I'll never be like them.
They're all perfect,
and I wish they could see themselves through my eyes
instead of diminishing me through theirs.
This sad old devil seems tragically nasty and cruel
Her creative writing is just not very helpful or cool
She needs to take her goofy old self back to school
Her fate is now a loose thread on a withering spool.
Note: dedicated to the late Dr. Jason Arday. I didn't like how that one lady talked about him and I'm glad people called it out.
