To be black in a white world

The price of being black In a white world 
Is the cost some of us can't afford 
A currency we don't own
Not because we don't have affluence 
But because they stole the wealth that inhabits our land

Long Forgotten

The tree of life has roots to the beginning of time
infiltrating depths unfathomable
lost in the nebulae of bygone memories

I am that human, who is proud and strong,

Year-round: every day, week, month, and decade.
The celebration should go on unabated,
