Mind's minute mirage may muffle,
But biding by blinding brings burns.
Severely she'll sunder, so scuffle,
'Til tomorrow, tomorrow turns.

Premium MemberNine five one three

Nine, five, one, three—
Is that truly all that remains of you?
What fragments of me linger in your mind?
If only you would take a moment to slow down
And gaze upon the world that unfolds before you.

Your way of life is shrouded in enigma.
Your sixth sense, paired with your keen understanding of women,
Collapses like a carefully arranged stack of dominoes —
So unsettling, so uncertain, so trapped in its own confines.

Please, help me unravel the intricacies of your thoughts.
You've often claimed that men are creatures of folly,
Incapable of taming their wild impulses,
As many chase after fleeting desires
And consume whatever is placed before them: so you said.
Sister, sister, if only you could just slow down,
For we are already halfway through this journey.

When a past love transforms into merely a chapter
In the book of our lives,
It signals that you have reached the finish line of that phase.
His number still drifts endlessly in my mind—

Nine, five, one, three, is all that you have left of him.
Please, help me grasp the depths of it all,
Why is it so difficult to truly love?

Echoes of Quiet

Fabricated Fears Feed the Fidgety Figure
Debuting Damaged Desires and Disguised Daydreams
Beaten till Black and Bloody, Betrayed Beliefs of Betterment
Firmly Fooled, Formidably Far From Fate — Finally Free

The quivering quitters, quaking and quacking
In quite a quizzing quagmire, quietly
Quash their qualms. The ***** quest they have acquired,
Is a quandry of quantum quantity.

Chicken Little

Chicken Little

Much like a messenger to mind,
Posed staring down into my face,
I sensed a rooster, brash and bold,
Was challenging my right to breathe.

Thus, in the inkling of an eye
With onset latent bleariness,
The old conundrum, fight or flight,
Was freshly flashing in my head.

This rooster was no idle threat.
Its size, imposing, filled my sky.
Its comb was cocked with attitude.
Its beak was aimed between my eyes.

Its eyes were beady like black peas.
They pierced my confidence and will.
Its countenance was firmly grim.
Its posture signaled, “Make my day!”

Then, in a moment’s timed elapse,
My brain awoke in roused synapse.
Fear not, it’s just macropsia.
The sky’s not falling after all.

Premium MemberAFTER THOUGHTS

No more jeers
Nor sorrow we walk the edges of tomorrow
Whistling winds travel these same paths also
We accompany them with hollow dreams
Our bones shiver with the chill of unknowns
We have a place to go called home
So say simple prayers if you weep We this nation can withstand these things which winds blow blinding our sight at times though we know this is almost home

You Can

Focus on you,
Zoom on you,
Inside you,
See all in you,
Always with you,
Meant for you,
For a better you.

And,
Change your reality,
Take every opportunity,
To see possibility,
In every difficulty,
Because what you see,
Is what you get,
And each word from you,
Will create a world for you.

See,
You've waited for so long,
Now
Your wings are so strong,
Flap them into a song,
To reach the place you belong,
At your own pace,
Soaring high like an eagle,
Into your purpose,
Your destiny, I suppose.

Spooky Spiders

Hear Harry’s hysterical, startling scream.
Little spooky spiders made him run to the extreme.
It wasn’t a fairytale fantasy dream;
the cobwebs created a crazy football team.

Mother thought she’d heard their scary scheme,
so she planned to question the Queen.
I thought they were merely mean,
moving to our happy home, creating a scary scene.

just a girl

Shes just a girl!
She holds her childhood close, says the stuffed bear waiting for her on her pillow
She wants to be a good student, says her desk piled with completed assignments
She loves bright colors, says the clothes in her closet
She loves rewarding herself with a sweet treat, says the sonic cups littering her room
She doesn't have much time for herself, says the piles of laundry on every surface
She covers herself up, says the makeup spilling out of the bag on her vanity
She hates her body, says the tape measure resting by her mirror
Shes struggling with living, says the mascara on her pillow case
But no one knows, says the smiles in the pictures on her walls
She is me, and I am her
but I am ok, I'm just a girl

Premium MemberMy Soul Shattered By The Bullet Of Betrayal

Shivering shards sliced through my sullen system.
nightss nag with naissant nightmares
mornings moved as malignant monsters
trust twisted in tabescent thorns tearing within me
I ignored prayers, mindfulness and Jesus above
I believed in money and stood
as a gluttony, greedy foolish glideroy entity
the empire of emptiness exhausted me...
my crimson crooked heart hovered in the chains of inner being
crashing tides of bewildering blood sustained me
somber singing penetrated my lonely ears
for I heard the poignant prayers of promise
seeped through my splitter sins of seduction
for there remained regal relief of my convictions
my hope heart gave my soul a sarcralized sword of triumph

Who betrayed me?

Me, myself and I
For I stole the stars of my soul

Premium MemberA Path Fraught With Fear

A path fraught with fear
    craven cowardice
  trembling, dissembling unsettling

Hovering high above the highest hill
    beyond Imagination's borders
Out of reach, out of touch, unaligned

   Hope's lost highway hesitant
     arriving ahead of time
   illusions intricate, impotent
'Home' - why do we delay

Premium MemberI Being What It Is Not What It Seems-- Dedicated Verse To God Is Speaking Ministries Janeen Brown-

Superimposer
such an imposter
 heart posture
 sinless composer
 keeps cutting a deal
 missing his field
 Prospect is killed
 blazing sacrifice
trying to be nice
 humble and spiced
yet he's OK why cuz the Father got him
 leaving appalled
being withdrawed
 suspected of twice
trying to be a witness
 covered in nice
 falsely accused of being duped
 silently bruised
 yet in truth
he's a bright moth attracted to the flame
cursed fumbles the ball relinquishes his name
yet he's OK why cuz Our Father got him
 caught up in the game
 Withered and torn
complacent rebirth reborn
 and in saying all this
 yet instilled bless
 blessed is his type
 crucified for being nice
 following the dream
 being
what it is and not What It Seems?

Praise God hallelujah he's okay because our Daddy's got it
What it is Is Not What It Seems

WE GOBBLED GOATS CHEESE

WE GOBBLE GOAT’S CHEESE

Scales of justice weighed in gold and coal
cherubs and demons cheer without fear
horns blow, rooms gather fat

Coaxing a grey Persian cat
climb stairs of glamour
or disillusioned clamour

Heads dance across Florentine floor
joy shiver silent at a wooden door
hazardous stealth the cunning core

Roti fry in sesame oil to serve
with Côté D’ Or, everything coiled
drops of champagne sorrowfully soil

Chameleons cut own coloured flesh
hiding wounds wry waistcoated breasts
Botox gone awry, confess !

Scales dramatise to legitimise
two platters evenly plead
weighing a crafty compromise

We gobble goat’s cheese
celebration up in a breeze
