the bones are the first to know,
they hum a low dirge,
like a bass line in a dying bar,
deep under the skin’s slow retreat.
blood stumbles in the corridors,
loses its way in the veins,
tries to remember where it used to go.
the heart?
it forgets the beat,
like a drunk forgetting the name
of the woman he once begged for.
lungs collapse like cheap umbrellas,
breath rattles in
like pennies in a tin cup—
a wheeze, a whisper,
then nothing but
a waiting room silence.
and the soul,
if there is one,
it slips out the back
like it owes them all back rent.

We Should Abolish
By Franklin Price
06/17/2020
We should abolish everything
Meaning anything to anyone
Tear down all the monuments
Change places just for fun
Erase the marks of history
That someone might object
Tear down the Giza pyramids
Slaves built them I suspect
Change those names and places
Monuments and other things
Don't recognize why they are there
You ignorant ding-a-lings
Whether it was good or bad
That put them in their place
We should look at them as history
As a time we had to face.
If we forget to our history
Erase it from our eyes
Soon it will repeat itself
Bringing back what we despise
If you believe there is truth in what I have written here, please pass it on in any manner you have available. We should never forget history or remove it from our lives. If we do, it will surely repeat itself. If anything, ever went viral, this manner of thinking should.....In my humble opinion...

Living in a never ending era of terror, will things ever get better?
Will there ever be peace or will this carnage continue forever?
There’s a lack of affection in this world full of hate,
So anger keeps rising at an alarming rate.
Unnecessary violence and deaths in religious wars,
Genocide in many countries but the world still ignores.
Just think about all the people suffering overseas,
Devastated by war and every type of disease.
Imagine this was your family dealing with this brutality,
Imagine this was you living through all that insanity.
No hope, no future and a past they’d rather forget,
Living life day to day under constant threat.
Constant threat of abuse and all kinds of violence,
While the rest of the world just sits there in silence.
Why should they pay for the mistakes that others have made?
Why should they be the victims when the invaders invade?
How can they fear hell when they’re already there?
I really believe we all have an obligation to care.
And if we don’t end war, war will end us,
This a vital issue that we need to discuss.

Ignorance is what I would abolish
I'd educate the world from A to Z
Oldest, youngest, largest and the smallest
Solve universal problems one, two, three
Teach everyone the skills to read and write
And give them back their pride and confidence
With education dark will turn to light
The world would change with this benevolence
Maybe they will find a cure for cancer
Or simply help them feed their family
Chances are they might just have the answer
Eradicate hunger and poverty
Abolishing the world of ignorance
It seems to me it's only common sense

A is for abolish housework forever
Make it illegal to clean everything
Graduating college engineers clever
Do your part, design houses where clean clings
Maybe a strong wind tunnel designed right
Could blow the dust out once or twice each week
While owners go out dancing for a night
Or a shredder next to a chute when bills pique
Engineers design concrete houses sleek
With built in water cleaning system fine
Compartments styled water proof with mystique
Each to house valuables closely enshrined
Let's abolish housework, freedom we all need
Unrestrained abandoned to write poetry plead

Horrid hellion hunger that rips apart the soul
Sadly starving siblings where death takes its toll
Crippled children crying a mother lives in hell
While wicked ways of man making money for their sell
Vindictive violent victories, of man vs. man
Kabbalistic killing kids a death wish with a plan
Wrathful widespread Wars with blood over spilling
Betraying battling brothers kiss their cross before the killing
Repeated rancorous raping for only a woman knows
Destructive demeanour dancing the desecration of a rose
Sabotaging silent stealing virginity within the night
Demonic deception dwelling a battle we must fight
Let us pray now for all of this we can abolish
Breathe in strength and give the world its needed polish.
