Contest Description
sweet soupers, let’s have fun with this! spin a NEW, ORIGINAL POEM on a form called vignette: a hexastich in 6 lines with 2-4-4-6-7-3 syllable count per line, unrhymed..
there are a few approaches of this genre, but let’s go for the short version… a vignette focuses on ONE mood, character, setting, or object to paint a picture of a moment in time in a SUBTLE MANNER…
choose one of the compound words as your theme: 1. sailboat
or 2. silkworm or 3. staircase or 4.scrapbook....
title of your poem is your theme...
my draft :
my tracks
follow shadows
walking along
pastures of lonely nights,
requesting lucent star’s pail
to drain tears--
n. onclaud
