Crater Lake, Deep Water in a Sleeping Volcano in Oregon
It is the main feature of Crater Lake National Park and is famous for its deep blue color and waterclarity. The lake partly fills a nearly 2,148-foot (655 m)-deep caldera that was formed around 7,700 (± 150) years ago by the collapse of the volcano Mount Mazama.
I'm not looking for history; I want imagery and feeling; If you were a pioneer in a covered wagon or walking or riding a bike around the rim of the volcano, is it winter or summer.
Any form is acceptable.
