Trip Around Sleeping Volcano
Enthralled by the sleeping volcano, serenely scenic
I dream of hosting a festive family picnic
For thanksgiving fellowship to exalt God Almighty*
While loved ones gather beside an Edenic park of beauty.
Mesmerized with the Crater Lake’s deep blue color
I wish to be the privileged navigating sailor
Exclaiming, “How awesome is the Lord Creator gracious
Who designed this wonder, sustaining it to show His work so precious.”
Viewing its crystal clear water, I’m reminded of my goal
To praise constantly the Saviour of my life and soul
He is the Living Water, quenching spiritual thirst indeed
Making me eternally well; from damnation, forever freed.
With this poetic trip around Mt. Mazama’s rim
I’m blessed bountifully, beyond abundance-brim
As I trust my Supreme Guide in my journey of wondrous bliss
Grateful for His faith-upholding I should never miss.
*Psalm 34:3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
