SLEEPING VOLCANO--- Been hundred years since summers blazing fires, awaken Volcanic ash burning rain fires red awake She's a sleepy valley resting Alas, her pearly white shaw covers her shoulders, Now asleep ...As I tally counting the sparkles snow glistering boulders Shines brighter than the sun Clear waters soft ripples break still Sharp green pine needles waving evergreen Sleepy lake clear view dreams awaken snow drifts all blighted wet white shadows sleeping volcano 12/26/18 For Sleepy Volcano Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Eve Roper
