Sleeping Volcano
Alone
Into the sunset
I find my place
Of soothing solitude
There on the shore
Of Crater Lake
The peace is a veneer
Serene and crystal clear
I swear I feel the tremors
Of a sleeping giant
Who rules the underworld
Not wanting to wake him
I pay my respects
With utmost reverence
In silence
