What to Submit?
1 original, poem on the theme of .............Any Theme.... Poem must be in the *Sijo* form only.
I recently started writing Sijo poems and noticed some interest in the form. So, I decided to run a contest.
Sijo
Definition
Sijo is the classic form of unrhymed poetry in Korea. Sijo have three long lines. Each line varies between 14 and 16 syllables, with the middle line often the longest. The first line states a theme, the second line counters it, and the third line resolves the poem.
*In addition: The example provided in the forms section is not accurate with syllable count. Lines should be between 14 and 16 syllables.

English Language
Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
