Congratulations on your win with this well-written heartfelt Sijo. I feel for both of you... Hopefully this will work out soon. We have to let them be who they are and find their way back. Hugs...

As we go through life we all carve our own paths and our children are no different, sadly there is friction along the way. But time and patience will heal any rifts I'm sure. Tom

Painful but beautifully expressed introspection, Gershon. Your title and your poem are superb! Sometimes 'letting go' is the only hope (I know, first hand..) and then hearts can heal and come together again :) Judging by the comment below, you already have the 'hard-won experience' to draw upon.. Positive and healing thoughts to you and your son, my friend.. ~Susan

Thank you, thank you, a thousand times thank you, Susan, for your kind words and wishes. Know that the healing process will occur in direct proportion to the degree that I can truly 'let go'---completely and without malice or grudge. :) gw

Yeah, this one hurts to write---let alone experience. But 'let go' worked once before for me, so there is some hope here, based on hard-won experience... Best always, Maureen ~ Gershon
