Contest Description

What to Submit?

1 original, poem on the theme of .............a proverb(wise saying)found in the book of Proverbs in the Bible. Please pick out one verse(or part of one verse, as I did in my first monoku example) from the book of Proverbs(there are 31 chapters, which gives you lots of verses to choose from)and write a monoku based on the verse that you choose.

Please date your poem and underneath the date, please copy, paste and bold the verse that was the inspiration for your monoku. For examples of what I'm looking for, please see Proverbial Monoku 1 and 2 on my homepage. Please title your poem Proverbial Monoku so I don't accidentally find out your identity ahead of time. I want to judge as blindly as possible as I did with my first contest. If you have any questions, please feel free to soupmail me. A big thank you in advance to all who enter!

Only Monoku is acceptable for this contest.
