1 NEW, DATED, Verse poem (no Rhyming)  ............. a poem about grief of

pet

person

or something else ? death of anything, this world as we know it, for example

Theme (The Five Stages of Grief) Pick one only.

1.  Denial  2.  Anger  3.  Bargaining  4.  Depression  5.  Acceptance

There are many emotions within each stage for you to write about, research it.

It can be the death, soon to come death of a PET or loss of beloved family, a friend, for example my cat of twenty years just passed away and I am stuck in depression at the moment, for how long, who knows each person grieves differently. It can be now or recent, even long  past.

Title - the Stage you are writing about must be in the title, for example it could be, My Forever Denial, or Depression is Mine for Evermore, or etc etc I hope you get my drift. PLEASE do not put the contest name in the title.

Example and layout Required: ( this is NOT an example of the theme but just an example of the FORM)

Fragmented Verse

It is an old dream, brown, crumbling at edges,
best that I leave this old dream undisturbed -
                         I am the dream,
                           it whispers soft.

I wrestle with the covers pushing it away,
but the ghosts of the past still come drifting;
they come like a silent crowd in the night,
so many come to haunt me, maybe forever.

Do other people have these too,
        these frequent nighttime ghost whispers?

                         I am the dream,
                              of your regrets.
