Contest Description
What to Submit?
I love traditional poetry forms but also believe that evolution is a wonderful thing!
Therefore, for this contest, I’d like you to take a form you love - any form listed in the Poetry Soup “Types of Poems” list - and add your own twist to it by changing one thing about the form. Change the metre, the rhyme scheme, add extra lines, allow yourself something that’s normally banned -change anything you like. But make sure your new form shows appropriate affection for the original form!
Then use your “new” form to create a poem on the theme of MISCHIEF.
Please left align your poem, and don’t use italics throughout (you may use italics, but only for emphasis) or double space your poem. This is to try to prevent me recognising your “handwriting”!
And please name your poem “Mischief”.
At the foot of the poem, please name the original form and what you changed about it. And of course, don’t forget to include the date.
Enjoy your mischief... and may your mutations be beneficial...
Prizes
Glory, glory and more glory.
