THANK YOU

Blog Posted by Frederic Parker: 10/15/2024 7:20:00 AM

Thank you...A special thanks to Craig for reaching out and to Linda, Len, Susan, Christina, Andrea, Tom, Lin, and Jan.Yes my wife and I are safe, our home is safe. No power for 5 days.

Downed trees and debris scattered over blocks. The next street over needs help and prayers

over half the homes are destroyed, and bulldozers are picking up the broken debris and furniture tossed to the road. It will be a while to get back to normal, gas lines are 50 cars long, and generators were loud for days if you had gas, My block has power now I don't know about other neighborhoods. It's a burn in the mind sad thing to see, that people's homes have been laid waste, mostly by the storm surge and rain. My prayers to them and my thanks to you who took the time to care...Frederic

Frederic, dear friend, dear poet, I'm relieved and happy to know that you, your wife and your home are safe. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who live in the storm zones of Helene and Milton, especially those suffering with loss of loved ones, pets, precious possessions and life as they knew it. So grateful for your health and wellbeing, dear Frederic. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Thank you for the update, Frederic! Sending prayers for all! My sister in St. Augustine seems to have fared well. Haven't been able to reach friends in Asheville! My heart goes out to all of you. The people in the south are models of courage and grace under fire. Sending you blessings!

It was devastating to so many, Frederic. Thank you for letting us know you are ok. My daughter in Winter Garden fared well, too. Now, Nadine is churning her way west to cause more anxiety. Stay safe, and one of these months, hurricane season will be over. What used to be three has become six.

Wow, Frederick, thanks for the update. These storms two ways, happy for your safety, sad for others. Even my granddaughter who lives in Melbourne said the storm was scary. Can’t imagine it when it came on shore.

Frederic, tapping my heart here, too many have so much worse to endure, as you've said -- I'm (our Florida home & my Mom) are 45 miles north of Tampa and there before the grace of god go we and were spared...too many were not, including those in places like Fort Pierce on the east coast where tornadoes ripped them apart. Too many have lost their only homes and belongings, I cannot imagine!! So glad you are well except for the pain you must feel for those who are not...
