recently posted a poem and entered it in a contest only to find 2 hours later

it had been removed from my page and was gone...anyone else ever had this happen

Greetings, Frederic! The exact same thing happened to me. I had to repost my poem, "Far Yet Close" because it mysteriously disappeared. Thank God I had it saved on my computer! Whew...

That is sad. It's good that you can repost your poem (if you've saved it on your computer), but to lose all your comments and faves :( That stinks. Darn technology :/

Happened yesterday, I was really upset! I lost the comments, the favs. At least I had printed the poem and two poets were kind enough to comment a second time, comments are so important to me, to us all I think. I had lost a couple of Soup mails a couple of weeks ago. Spontaneous disappearances? Doesn't make sense.

It is best to always save your work in a Word Program. Glitches in a computer system happen all the time. Comments disappearing is frustrating, but can always be placed again. :) Keep smiling everyone. There are so many things to be thankful for. ~ Brandy

I am especially angry about those vanished soupmails I sent to my friends yesterday. My soupmails disappearing has happened several times before.

I sent three soupmails yesterday, now my sent file shows I never sent them. I commented on over 2 dozen poems yesterday and after checking , I found those too have disappeared. The entire poem thing disappearing has happened to me before. My time already being limited here now to several other factors, this is unacceptable and must be dealt with, whatever or whoever is the cause, IMHO.

I had to re-publish five of my poems which vanished last night. What a waste of time!

Hi Frederic. I am sorry to hear this happened. I have never seen this happen regarding complete deletions of poems. I heard it happening with other poets lately too. I hope this can be figured out and resolved quickly. I also hope you have saved copy of your work. :)

Last night( Sun 21st)at 11pm GMT there were 29 entries in my latest open contest,I awoke this morning to find there were only 23.If you had entered yesterday or earlier please check your member area.Thanks to all who support these contests of mine,it is a delight to read so many talented poets who share their giftings here.

I had one comment from Greg that I went back to answer and it was gone. Not sure if there were others.... I hope they can fix this glitch soon.

Any comments that I made or received today are gone, along with one received and answered Soupmail that disappeared. I did notice that Karen Krutsinger's contest was posted as judged earlier today, but now the winners' list is gone. Also, I made some edits to two posted poems, and I just checked and saw the edits did not post.

This happened to me today, too, Frederic, and I am rather upset, as it was very important to me and had three comments. Luckily, I posted it on Facebook, too, so I didn't lose it, but I usually just post here without copying. Weird stuff going on - I hope you didn't lose your poem, my friend!

well yes and no...I lost it but when posting I changed some things and although I have the core of my poem I lost the things I changed

the poem I posted today has disappeared as have all the comments I've made and received today:-( About 3/4 hrs ago I had trouble accessing the site kept getting system 404 (or 400 error) I wont be re posting the poem until tomorrow to see if the error is rectified in the meantime:-( hugs Jan xx

Dear Frederick, I noticed a few comments gone that I had posted. I imagine it is a glitch in the system. These kind of things happen. I shall replace the comment. :) Brandy

Hi Frederic, You beat me to it, I was just about to say the same thing. Submitted one a couple of hours ago and its vanished. I know of two other soupers whose poems I commented on have gone too. Have soupmailed them. If anyone had entered a contest then youll have to renter as it's gone from the contest entries as well Tom.
