Yes, Frederic, it does... but the problem with me is, when I am not able to express it, I feel moody..

Ironically, the yearning to express is what has caused me to not be able to write.

Forget it Becca (the wanting to write part). You are magic in that parallel universe beside yourself just letting go. Not letting this world drag behind you and slow you down--go outside - have fun because there's way to much crap to mess our minds and we can ditch that even while writing about it. Did you ever notice a write that you wrote and look at it afterwards and say, wow, how did I do that----it's actually because "we" didn't, our alter ego did in that other universe. Hugs

Yes and no--funny, but it just "is" and whether it arises deep or shallow - quickly or with painful slowness, I can't say that I "yearn" for any of it, but rather invite and smile at inspirations that are born from without---knock like an old friend I had almost forgotten. What I yearn for is not deep but dancing across free thoughts because that is where I almost always live. Somehow, though I know your inference, I feel that yearning to express becomes more work than joy and I would rather not work.

Andrea, I think perhaps you might misinterpret my comment. I also like forms and the challenge of writing to them and to any other pursuit we chase in writing, and yes, wordsmithing is a perfect way to express it but I think of it as fun and when it ceases to be I will no longer do it because life is way too short. I do labor over my writes but truly a labor I "whistle" while doing.

I guess I am very different . Usually it's work for me (I think of it as wordsmithing, or work for the brain. That is why I enjoy forms so much!!) I enjoy when it is "light work" though!!

Yes ...I get a lot of pleasure from writing and I try to make folks smile and forget their troubles for a while. Starting writing has got me through the most difficult 4 years of my life:-) hugs jan xx

Quite right, Andrea. For me I find there is more satisfaction in writing rhyme than prose. I like the use of the rhythm and flow of words that can express more than prose.
