OKAY! I CONFESS! I'M BRAGGING (AGAIN)

I read a blog a while back that basically was about the fact that just because you weren't published does NOT mean that you are not a good (or even great) poet. I agree with that ONE HUNDRED PERCENT...One of the best poets on PS recently told me that she has never even tried to get published and probably never WILL because she writes only for the purpose of expressing herself and enjoys sharing it with others. In other words, she doesn't take herself (or her poetry) that seriously. How I admire this wonderful lady's lack of ego!

Having said that, I have to admit that I DO have a little bit of an ego thus I am going to SHAMELESSLY brag-boast-bust-me-buttons, etc...

My poem 'The Ghost of My Lonely' has been accepted for publication in 'The Literary Hatchet' and this magazine actually PAYS...The amount is so small that I'm too embarassed to say what it is but hey, it's a start. Also, that same poem and 'I Recall' is due to be published in the July issue of 'Wilderness House Literary Review', an Internet site that DOESN'T pay...Deb Guzzie has also been published there and is the one who told me about it (Thanks Deb!)

Anyway, any of you who might be interested, please check one or both of these out. There are SO many talented poets here (Many of you FAR more than me) I have been published a few times before and personally, I get a kick out of actually SEEING one of my poems on the printed page...Anyone else feel that way?

Almost a month too late but hey, as I say time and again to the blogs I post to (if ever I do, since I'm too shy to regularly comment) better late than never! After a long intro, let me congratulate you, Tim! This is very encouraging and I hope you get to have more of your works published. hugs!

Congrats Tim it is wonderful news - the thrill of seeing your name in print is so wonderful - I wrote a poem for a local contest on our Island - all our poems went into a traditionally published book and we all had to sign the fly leaf of one copy of the book - it made me feel very proud:-) hugs Jan xx

Tim be proud, it has nothing to do with money but I think pride, so a big congratulations on being published. I may be the one guilty of making that comment because I write just for me with no interest in publication but I admire others that do publish and so enjoy the honor

Hey you!!! (LOVE that!) I'm proud of you too whether you get published or NOT...You are such a wonderful and faithful friend to me. Pick out a few of your favs and send them in...It's VERY simple and all you need is Microsoft Word or something similar...
