Hi there, some of you may remember me as the golden girl. My time on soup was very enjoyable and I learned a great deal from it. Harry is the one who helped and encouraged me to continue and try writing fiction and since then as my co-author, we have written three books. I have hijacked his blog because although opinionated, Harry is not one to blow his own trumpet, and as a great poet he makes a fine writer.
Nine Steps From The Tree.
Amy disappears without a trace on the night of Beltane, leaving her parents and fiance Tom devasted. Over a number of years, the mystery of her disappearance comes to light through Amy's mother's best friend Pam. The loss of Pam's parents has a devasting effect on her causing a major breakdown which prompted her to look into her family tree. This is where she discovers the almost unbelievable truth about Amy, but it comes at a terrible price.
The Albury Street Masquerade
A romantic ghost story with a difference.
We are all somebody's son or daughter but what influences who we are, nature or nurture? Willaim, a wealthy young man is devasted at the loss of his parents but gets distracted by a kindly uncle who trains him in the art of butchery until he is old enough to control his inherited wealth. Desperate for someone of his own William falls head over heels for a young widow he meets in an art gallery until she proves false. On the rebound, he marries, an unmitigated disaster as she turns out to be nothing more than a lady of the night. Is this what influenced his career as the infamous Jack the ripper or was it his desire for his wife's lover, something against all propriety? Did he stop when the police said or did he carry on?
All the murders in this story are documented, unnamed and unclaimed by society through the ages.
New release, Life Out Of Tune
Growing up in the post-war slums of Sheffield Ellen - the second youngest of six siblings takes it upon herself to try and care for her sisters. Their father, Barnwell is a wannabe singer in the clubs but drinks any money he earns rather than look after his family. When one of his daughters becomes ill, he hatches a misguided plan to sell his children to gain them a better life. Retributions begin when the National newspapers pick up the story.
Forced to retreat to the country, Ellen and her siblings are thrown into a world of intense adult drama none of them are mature enough to understand.
I hope you don't mind me highjacking soup to let you know what a special and talented guy Harry is.
