In Addition to William's Sentiments...

I just read WR's blog about us all touching each other's lives - and I feel compelled to express the same thing. When I am in a certain mood, I literally go hunting to see if a certain poet has posted recently. (And this by no means limits these poets to only this one genre - it's just that they do it OH so well...) - When I'm in the mood for a heart tug? Elaine George. When I want to fly outside my own mind to a different world? Jonji. When I need the raw masculinity and word twists to force me to think? Tony Bush. When I want the feeling of spatial disorientation - perhaps in single words which form a whole presentation, picture for me to be in? Jill Martin. When I want a witty quip that makes me think, deep down in the humor? William Robinson. When I want depth of emotion, often in a few well chosen words? Mark Cotterman. When I feel to be reminded of the first breaths of love? JM Marchese. When I want to be blown away, tag title etc...? Anthony Slauson. When I need to view the world from a fresh perspective? Donald Meikle. When I want to see refined, honed thoughts - making me want to do the same? Mark Pringle. When I want to taste the words? Glen Enloe. When I want impressionistic images which evoke my senses? Mary-Anne Westfield. And when I want immediate gratification - and can't find any of these poet's recent posts??? I call on Ava Carney. She's always available to pick up my poetic spirits. :) This is by no means a comprehensive list - just a few that rattled off of the top of my head - who truly are part of the fabric of creativity on this site. I miss you when you aren't writing - as you are all part of my day - and you help me to think, dream, feel, experience in ways that I perhaps didn't appreciate before "meeting" you through your words. Knowing how much I have grown since writing on this site - makes me even more eager to check out the new poets who are posting... Who knows when I'll stumble on the next thread in this woven blend??? ~T

I too go on the hunting. Seems I do this almost every morning. There are so many wonderful poets here and some new and upcoming ones also. We learn alot from ones poetry. I love that we have the blogs to learn even more. I would never have dreamed that I could have found so many new friends as I have here at Poetry Soup. All willing to help in anyway they can. Please know I am happy to call you one of my new friends. My I have babbled on.Carol

Give a writer a blank page, and look what happens! You are such a love. You even say nice things about the crap I post that I cannot delete fast enough. Thank you for your endlessly kind comments and cheerful disposition, T. YOUR work takes me on amazing journeys over, under, around, inside places I did not even know existed.
