Waiting For the Grain

empty palette
barren wood
suddenly
misunderstood
blown enigma
oil paint
into the grain
to dry and wait
artist notion
brilliant mind
palette patient
to unwind
raw emotion
canvas full
fingerprinted
from a girl
brushes cleaning
palette eyes
work of art
she gently *sighs*...

(Inspired by a photograph of a discarded make-shift palette of wood - paint alive in color...
Made me wonder what art
came from such... art.)
