I'M a Mental Whisper
Star strung,
but long fallen from the moon
he landed with his flattened feet
his tiger teeth full bloom
His lips held loose a muffled laugh
and I smiled an hour late
I closed my eyes, tipped back my head
He told me I was safe.
That was before he handed me
a crater from the moon
He hung it 'round my golden neck
and said he'd see me soon
I wait right here for twice a year
I see him from afar
He runs from his notoriety
on the back of a shooting star...
