Quote Left I am struggling with mental illness. Getting my feelings out helps. I am getting counselling, and writing about my negative journey seems to help me see the light better. Quote Right

Greetings from the Great White North! I was born in a small town in Southern Ontario, and lived there until I was 14. I was bullied relentlessly, and was grateful when we finally moved away. I stayed in Ontario until I was 20, and I had made some really great friends, but I never felt like I fit in. On a whim, I moved to BC, and I finally felt like I had a home. The beautiful mountain scenery always inspires me. I’ve had a few different careers, but my favourite was driving a tow truck in the greater Vancouver region and Fraser Valley. It was the most challenging and rewarding experience, and it gave me a greater appreciation for helping others. I’ve had a few long-term relationships, but they weren’t meant to be. I had found my soulmate when I was 39. We had 3 wonderful years together, and we were married for just shy of 1 year. Unfortunately, he passed away from cancer at the young age of 42. Nothing in life prepares you for a loss that big, and I have felt lost ever since. Lately, I started writing, and I finally feel as though I can move forward with my life. Looking forward to the next chapter.   **Yes, this is me in the picture. I realize the last name is different. Kerr is my maiden name.**
