Dancing

You showed up at my door at 7
It came as a surprise
I wasn’t even expecting this
I can’t believe my eyes

The sparks really started flying
When you took my hand in yours
You gave me a mischievous smile
As you pulled me out the door

You took me to my favourite place
Upon the mountain top
You pulled me close so we could dance
My heart did a flip flop

You sang real gently in my ear
While holding me so tight
I don’t ever want this moment to end
Everything just feels so right

We danced for hours underneath the stars
The magic seems so real
The stresses of the world have all disappeared
My heart is finally healed

When you finally take me home
The light in your eyes so bright
You weave your hand into my hair
While you kiss me good night
