Cleansing Rain

I sit out on my covered porch
The raindrops pelting the tin roof
I have always welcomed the rain
As it refreshes everything around me

The rumble from the thunder is rhythmic
As it echoes through the mountain valley
Listening to Mother Nature’s heartbeat is so soothing
The rumble making me feel whole again

The distant lightning cuts through the darkened sky
Like an artist’s brush on nature’s canvas
It’s fascinating to watch nature’s fireworks
Both beautiful and destructive at the same time

The lush green hills have been revived
Wildflowers will soon be back in bloom
It’s like a rebirth of sorts
Giving me hope for a new start of my own

Bo would like to hug you back.. I really don't want to disappoint him. What can we do?

Well, I’m in British Columbia. Don’t exactly know if that helps

Hi Lorna.. Good morning. I'm in the mountains with my dog (Bo) this morning. Sipping on your wonderful write and a hot cup of Joe. Nature is waking up and you're bringing a delight to my senses!

Good morning! We are both very lucky to live amongst such beautiful surroundings. Give your precious Bo a big hug for me. :)
