Our dog stole Dad's sandwich one day
Then strutted around with display
Dad chased with a broom
Dog zoomed through the room
The sandwich was gone anyway
A shiny red rocket shot up to
the sky,
It passed by the stars as they
floated up high,
And waved to the moon as it
zoomed right on by.
He packed his snacks with reckless cheer,
three pine-cones gone before first gear;
he zoomed uphill without a care~
this squirrel’s bound for mountain air.
He stopped to pose by every pine,
claimed each tall peak as “truly mine,”
took selfies with his windswept hair~

He chased a goat up rocky ground,
then waved at hikers all around;
the switchbacks spun him everywhere~

And when he reached the summit’s crest,
he puffed his chest and squeaked, “I’m blessed!”
then glided down with style to spare~
Cornbelt residents rise with the sun,
Seeking geometry in soybeans.
Space aliens zoomed through the galaxy,
Just to crease someone’s corn flakes.
Intelligent life from distant stars
Avoids the formal radio waves.
They use advanced crop wrinkles
To converse with good ol’ Mother Earth.
Galactic wayfarers don’t stop at NASA,
They etch their figures in farrow.
A communication from outer space,
Which could be wiped away by a combine.
Two small-town farmers named Dave and Roy,
Armed with flashlights and sheets of plywood,
Chuckling quietly into their beers,
Designing an entirely new universe.
UFO investigators tote their gear,
Science-ing the folded wheat.
Either the universe is trying to talk to us,
Or the bar kicked them out too early.
Was it a car or a cat I saw?
It zoomed by! I saw wheels~~not one paw!
Weird times, I’ve had ‘em.
Mad am I, madam?
My neighbor thought it was a macaw!
Cookies Out the window
Into the breeze,
Cookies dancing
Past the trees!
The apples rolled
Across the floor,
They bounced right out
The front door.
The popcorn popped
Jump! Jump! POW!
White puffy clouds
Floating now.
The soda fizzed
POP! went the cap!
It flipped itself!
Right off the shelf,
The cook walked in
And yelled, “Oh no!”
The ketchup squirted,
Hit his toe.
The carrot giggled,
The chips said, “Zoom!”
The butter skate-slid
Across the room.
He grabbed the snacks
But slipped in jam
Then landed right
On cold-cut ham.
The snacks cheered loud,
“Hip-hip hooray!”
They zoomed outside
And ran away!
And if tonight
You sneak a peek…
You just might see
Snacks on your street!
there was a brave teeny tiny tsetse fly
he tended to zoom up extremely high
jealous gnome cautioned him “you could die!”
he did not pause to even ask him why.
Sunday, he landed in blueberry pie
dragonfly was there, who said, "it is a tie!"
next he stepped on bread, grained and rye
damselfly followed him as way to defy
stop following me, he said with a sigh
she argued, knowing she would never comply
he landed on a soap bar made from lye
next to him he heard a tiny “hi”
dragonfly had landed on tsetse fly’s thigh
he thought he would try to say goodbye
damselfly was there, and in no way shy
they both zoomed with him into the sky

Invisible for a day
Who knows the worse he will commit
Satisfying his greedy flesh in every way
Invading places he'll profit.
He entered the bank
He entered a restaurant
He entered a Boutique
All he held also vanished
He took a car
Went to the bar
Took Alot of drinks
Zoomed of towards his house.
He left the car in his garage
"What a day" he sigh with a smile
He had his dinner
And he went to bed.
Morning came
He went to check the things he'd took
They were gone
The car, the clothes, the drinks he'd brought.
He then decided to sleep again
For in his dreams he had it to himself
But for real life it was otherwise

Super Bee buzzed into the hive
Zoomed past his cousins Lee and Clive
Yelled to the drones, “Come fly with me!”
They stopped and looked at the old Queen Bee.
Queen took exception to brash Super Bee.
Laughed at him with an evil tee-hee-hee.
He showed her his strength and power of three.
She walled him up into a dungeon with royal jelly.
I wish we didn’t have gravity
It would be fun to fly around untethered and uninhibited
the teachers would have a heyday
yelling and screaming their faces off as we zoomed around the room
our parents would be frantic, begging our grandparents for advice
grandpa would be too busy laughing to care
I wish we didn’t have gravity but maybe nets on trees
if we wanted, we could grab one and sit with cats
THE FAMOUS ACORN HEIST OF ‘23

There once was a squirrel named Hank,
Who rode on a Harley, quite swank.
To the food bank he quickly sped,
With a heist planned in his head,
For acorns, he thought he could prank.
He zoomed past the trees with a whoop and cheer.
His goggles and scarf made it most clear.
He burst through the door with a grin.
“Just a snack for my ride, no break in.
Not to worry. I won’t harm you. Have no fear.”
Ahh, but the food bank staff were quite astute
They were wise to his ridiculous, nutty pursuit.
The joke was on our furry friend,
For the food bank, they send,
Hank home with a bag of healthy fruit!
Ozzy placed an ad that said: Ozzy
Zig requires a gig. It was that ad that
Zoomed him into stardom. As a
Young boy, like many others around the world, I was
Overwrought by the sound he and his bandmates pioneered. Ozzy`s
Songs and music is heavy and loud but his voice was so soulful. Misunderstood
By many of his critics. Ozzy was loved and admired to the point of
Obsession by others, they saw him as their
Unsung hero. For me I had immense
Respect for the man. He and his bandmates were the ones who
Nurtured and grew the genre of music i have loved for the past 50 years. The
Evolution of metal started with him...R.I.P Ozzy
I had a close encounter
Just this morning, on my walk,
When a bird of prey came swooping down -
A falcon or a hawk.
Either way, it flew right at me;
I saw feathers and a face
And it could have quickly grabbed my hat
And left without a trace.
Instead, it made it to a branch
And sat and looked around,
While a single startled turkey
Strutted, anxious, on the ground.
The hawk (or falcon - still not sure)
Did not stay very long.
It made it to another tree
And, though I could be wrong,
It likely found a tasty treat
And zoomed in for the kill.
I’m glad I didn’t see that part
(And hope I never will!)
There was a spiritual feeling in the air this autumn eve
Perfect night to meditate, she thought
Her spirit guides were urging her
She felt alive and open
Lit candles and a tiny bell signaled her angels
They zoomed around the room in flashes of light
When somethings so right
We laughed like children
We were as big as the Universe
We laughed at the sun and smiled at the moon
Choosing to return your smile on this April day
Something feels so right
The Universe echoes forever its beginning of time
I could take you home
The tyrrant of truth at your comnand
There's voices in the sky
Remember the feeling of games we played
A teaspoon of bad is ok
Look down at yourself
Can you leave
Then if you do please come home
In town sacrifice to the late sleepwalkers of the early dawn
A walk in the cold be nice or sooner straight out of fiction
I believe in you
Believe enough of yourself to be you
Cause we played out play
Zoomed by teenager life
We couldn't wait to live the lie
Started already forgetting to laugh
