Dear Paramedics…. With this poem I admire and honour you
For the occupation you have chosen
Doing a job that so many of us just couldn’t do
You are first on the scene
Dealing with behaviours, emotions ,wounds
Raw human reality of the ultimate extreme
Absolute panic ,violence, sadness, trauma
Complete devastation of the worse kind
Horrific situations and sights etched eternally in the mind
The job has many rewards l assume
Ones of gratitude,positive outcomes, births
Kindness and great appreciation for the Paramedics worth
Then there are the driving skills required
That alone a dangerous mammoth task
Getting to the scene quickly and safely…. not an easy ask
I have never required an ambulance
Nor had any involvement with one
Yet , l value the Paramedics role above and beyond
Accolades and recognition are more deserving
For the unbelievably important position you hold
What you do in our world is worth its weight in gold
I just want you to know how valued you are
Acknowledging and praising the great job you do
So from the bottom of my heart l say a massive “Thankyou”!!
splash of orange dawn
nature is in morning mode -
worth its weight in gold

A game she had played every night
on guard for that opened-door light;
was quick to react,
cause it was a fact-
each time, it was somewhat a fright!
Cause, under the covers, you see,
'twas something, that just shouldn't be;
a light in her hand
hid like contraband
for something, she'd do happily.
At this hour, she should be asleep-
so that's why mom comes in to peep.
And to mom's surprise
closed tight are her eyes-
zonked out like she counted her sheep.
But, little did mom come to know
that hiding beneath the bed throw-
another good book
a light in the crook
for reading by her secret glow!
Play possum was her secret game;
close book and light- shut eyes became
for seven-year-old
worth its weight in gold
to do what she loved without blame!

True! One of my granddaughters many years ago!
Any poem just for you as long as it makes you feel the way I do
I'll sweeten it with sugary words of love and sprinkle it with care
penning by the light of the moon I'll scribble until break of dawn
any poem just for you as long as it makes you feel, the way I do;
Any poem worth its weight in gold is a poem scribed with love
No other love poem has ever been written on my page but yours
You are the heart of this poem and you are my world of true ...
Paper to pen, pen to paper, we are joined together and never taper
Open your message and read what I wrote for you, beloved one
Every poet knows that a love poem has a lover and lovee,so please
Move into my poem , settle in between the I and the You, ...love?
Any poem just for you, as long as it makes you feel the way I do,
Any poem just for you, as long as it makes you feel the way I do.

I don't want to appear acting pertinaciously.
Just let me know that you have noticed me.
It seems so difficult to get your attention.
The present time looks like a great situation.
Worth its weight in gold is this occasion.
Yes, you are somebody I want to have near.
However, the message I'm sending doesn't seem clear.
I'm only using a little gentle persuasion
(To the tune of Ghostbusters)
Is there something strange
Deep inside your lungs
Whatcha gonna do
Corona
Will you quarantine
Go out and have some fun
Watcha gonna do
Corona
I ain't fraid of no bug
I ain't fraid of no cold
I ain't fraid of no flu
Corona
Will you wash your hands
Do as you've been told
Watcha gonna do
Corona
Toilet paper is
Worth its weight in gold
Watcha gonna do
Corona
I ain't fraid of no bug
I ain't fraid of no cold
I ain't fraid of no flu
Corona
If a fever hits
Six feet out of reach
Watcha gonna do
Corona
Shelter in your place
Will you hit the beach
Watcha gonna do
Corona
I aint fraid of no bug
I ain't fraid of no cold
I ain't fraid of no flu
Corona
The snow comes on the rumblings of mistakes
As alien nature not named but numbing all the same
Comes crashing, colliding by accident in atmospheres
In fear, chrystals of silence remind us of the loudness
How unkind ice can be accompanied by snow
Once released to tumble down to mimic giants falling
Blinded by colors not of their making
Time stops but not before the storm unfolds
Takes its toll on the unexpected visitors
Drifting by they pound the ground in homage to refrigeration
Rocks stand their ground for a second and by chance
Turn into sand if aging is permitted in their presence
Snow can be dangerous even at a distance if not respected
Ten foot trees below the timberline are frozen solid
In solace they take their weight for granite in repose
Granted, their seismic temblors can cause earthquakes
When landing on the heart is no mistake
Branches pray in their bankruptcy to winter mysteries
At what cost if they should lose their souls to snow
If this were any other planet other than Earth
Each snowflake would be lost to the significance
Of being worth its weight in gold
The Guennol Lioness is the most expensive sculpture ever sold at auction.
If she were of another constitution,
which was better suited to our social responsibilities –
a frailty of son,
a defenselessness of husband,
a femininity of man, -
she might be able to hope for an echo of our sympathy,
to become a son, a husband, a man.
Alas,
a strength, a muscularity, a gender certainty,
as well as a looking left dissociation –
rather a detachment from reality than a loss of it -
all of it makes she an alien with no legal right of abode in a here.
But, when no one's looking, I nurse my dreams of her:
the Guennol Lioness is worth its weight in gold.
This is so sensual.

Every little seed that has been sown
Every little secret ever told
Be assured and you will know
Is worth its weight in gold
Every time you stare into the sun
Every time you say the words I love
Every time you feel you've had enough
Never ever think of giving up
Every little tinder slice of life
Every little question into why
Look close enough and you will find
Another case of do or die
Every time you think you can't go on
Every time you feel like loosing hope
Every time you're sure you really know
Do you really know
Every little tiny grain of sand
Every little slip of time through hands
Every time that life throws its demands
Just remember that you can
She is as holy
As a toothpick
But loves
To tell the world
How spiritual she is
She joins organizations
Religious groups
And churches
But never goes to church
Or board meetings
Or get-togethers
To help others
But she joins… nonetheless!!!
And of course
Her friendship
So "carefully" given
Is worth its weight in gold
Is priceless
Because its value is
Zero
Zilch
Zip
Nada
Nothing
Not worth the breath
That was used
In its offering
Well did somebody say something about love
Love worth its weight in gold, heart and soul
How many times have I been played but love
Is finally here with me today and it's got me
Dancing down a rainbow...
Why now are you coming around asking me
To take you back, it’s true there's a small part
Of me that still loves you and used to dream
Someday you'd come back but now somebody
Else wants me and all my free time so I guess
You can say MAGIC HAPPENS, MAGIC STILL
HAPPENS...
Oh just like a rose in the deep winter snow
And all the fake folk I swear I've seen on
My terrace in the early morning sunshine
Well its magic, its magic no doubt about it...
Well and did somebody say something about
A fantasy come true, how many times now have
I dreamed about you, did somebody say something
About love, well how many times have I prayed
To God up above for a new love...
Well now I feel like dancing across a rainbow
There is magic, magic in every which way the
Wind blows from here to Tokyo...
Just like dancing across a thousand rainbows
And MAGIC HAPPENS, MAGIC STILL HAPPENS
All the time, heart and soul...
In every which way the wind blows!
I dreamed of something silver
Worth its weight in gold
I dreamed I found a necklace
That was something to behold
I dreamed of myself walking
At the end of my tightrope
I dreamed I found a necklace
That would give me hope
I dreamed of rapid changes
So sudden and so right
I dreamed I found a necklace
That would change my life
I dreamed of random chances
And only good fortune
I dreamed I found a necklace
That could only make me grin
I dreamed of consistent smiles
Purely happy harmony
I dreamed I found a necklace
That could cause no misery
I dreamed of a good luck charm
That I would cherish and would toast
I dreamed I found a necklace
But awoke to find a ghost
