FREEDOM

LOCKED AWAY IN A TINY CELL
FOR HOW LONG MY MIND WON'T TELL
MY MEALS PLACED IN FRONT OF ME
DON'T LOOK APPETIZING SO I WILL NOT EAT
MY MIND SEEMS TO WORK OVER TIME
LOCKED AWAY IN A TINY CELL I WHICH I CALL MINE
NOBODY DARE ASKA HOW I AM
FRANKLY BECAUSE NOONE GIVES A DAMN
THERE IS A WORLD OUT THERE WAITING FOR ME
TINY WINDOWS MAKE ME DISBELIEVE
UP IN COURT IN TWO DAYS TIME
LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET OUT THE CELL I CALL MINE
COURT DAY IS NOW HERE
NOTHING TO SAY NOTHING TO FEAR
BACK IN MY CELL FOR TWO MORE YEARS
NOONE ASKS HOW I GOT ON, NOONE CARES
I'LL BE DREAMING DRINKING AT THE BAR WITH MATES
LOOKING FOR BLOKES TO GO ON DATES
NOW IN MY CELL I DO NOT FEEL SO GLUM
BECAUSE YOU KNOW I'M ON MY WAY TO FREEDOM.

Would I write as much as I do today?
Only to satisfy what I see and hear,
  Makes my life very clear.

  Politics have gone awry,
No one looks you in the eye.
When they do you know they lie.

  Hiring signs are hung everywhere,
No one wants to work over there!
Immigrants are coming fast; with luck the jobs will last!

No food, water, or shelter, it won't get better!
  Who will survive?
  We certainly can't thrive!

  War has a use,
As do viruses, and killing guns,
  Reduction in population!

As a nation we should cheer it on!

I step inside Walmart with no pep
today is silent with hardly any talk
there waiting for me to put in cent’s
surprised, yeah
one shouts not a penny
a penny I will give them
for waste of wait time and effort
not a new shiny one
but a old dirty one
he’s heading home
tomorrow we know he won’t be out
complete dirty work over-sleep
take naps while we trade off
no worries tomorrow we’ll take you
then bind you

Tied

Tied

I want to let him go
but he wont let me
He lets me know
with that look in his eyes
I just cant say goodbye
I wanted to leave
but now I dont want to give up
is this real love
Pray for us
5 years is how long it's been
Trying to make it work over and over agian
Oh lord when will this end
Every time I walk away
I change my mind and stay
I feel like I'm emotionally locked in
I can never stop loving him
I cant leave
I know this is all in my head
This man some how has an hold on me

The Lost Paradox

Take a look inside,
Both dead and alive,
Simultaneously?
How can we measure it,
If something is living, yet finalised?

Propose a second proposal,
Preferably pick a second one,
Work, well that's force over distance,
Yet how can we measure success?

Power is work over time but
It can be just and injust
Who decides control, no not I
It must be him on the inside

Laughing, so can I actually look inside the box..
Like a fidgety penniless ant ready for work,
Yes yes I'm hungry, hungry strong as an ox
Paradoxically held back, retaining an astute smirk

I get it now, needing no quarrels
Acceptance.
It's the ways it's meant to be
If we find out truth we will pay schrodingers fury

Hypothesis: Not a chance of success.
Can I open, must I find out.
It will ruin me I'm told.
Accept the unacceptable

An Old Cowboy

An old cowboy left yesterday.
Once drove herds over open range.
Many hardships along the way,
But a life he would never change.

Heard sound of cattle full stampede.
Rode days in slush up to his knees.
Tall in the saddle on his steed.
Broke, but had all a cowboy needs.

Up before dawn most of his days.
Often playing an old guitar,
Singing tunes about dusty trails,
And lost loves that were torn apart.

Old age and time at long last struck.
Glory gone like western ghost town.
Life’s work over and spent last buck,
A cowboy king without a crown.

Withdrew in deep grief and doubt,
His way of life had gone away.
Last words, “head ‘em up; move ‘em out”,
Old cowboy died yesterday

Earthquake

E arth quivers, shakes and quakes violently
A ll around turns dark, the roof and walls begin to crumble
R ight before our very eyes
T o the right and to the left, all around us...
H umans are running for their lives...screaming...
Q uake!!!Quake!!!Get out! Get out now!!!
U nable to get out in time, Men, women
A nd children...are...
K illed instantly, or within seconds
E veryone left, inside, simply dies slowly...as rescue is impossible!

Sad but true 650 dead in Ecuador earthquake so far...will keep rising.
Two cities where I did social missionary work over 20 years ago
are unrecognizable, this week has been devastating for all.
The country has no real means to do rescue work, as heavy machinery
is not readily available, thank God! Mexico and Colombia are helping, as the Ecuadorian people are of humble means and are desperate!

GRANDPA'S WRINKLES
====================

I sat beside my grandpa in the verandah,
And watched him gazing in the sky.
Suddenly he smiled and I noticed
His wrinkles too smiled with him

I asked,

Grandpa, why your face is full of wrinkles
Because I am an old man dear,
Said he.

He smiled again and I could not see his eyes,
His eyes covered with wrinkles.
Grandpa, are you there?
Yes dear, he shook his head,
Wrinkles look nice on you grandpa
I said.

Yes, I earned them through hard work over the years
Said he with a hearty laugh
if they can speak they will tell you great stories
He said.

I saw sadness mingled with joy in his face
can't you speak on their behalf
I asked.

Yes dear, but my memory has left me,
leaving these wrinkles as my memory
Said he.

Free Earth For Life

You see, I live in this world that promises my freedom.
I do what I do so I can live in this kingdom.
I pay my bills, do my taxes, and even work over-time
I always pay my rent; never leaving a single dime.
Then one day, it hit me, like a ball to a bat
I was thinking about the world over where I sat.
I pay for water and air as if there wasn't any.
I thought this world had clean free water already.
Big corporate elites stick a price to my liberty;
“You can only live here if you know our history.”
“My land is your land, but you can’t stay here.”
“I’m the boss of my people. I’m the puppeteer.”
I look up to the sky and see my Earth be sold
Like food from a market not even paid for with gold.
We sell sand to the beaches and trees to the land
Nothing is free. We are all marked as a brand.
Yet I go on with my life and have no worry.
I start my day and end it with my eyes all blurry.
I sit down and watch the screen, as I see an ad wiz by:
“Free earth for life. You need to call now and buy.”

Coming From a Little Girl

If I tell you something.
Promise not to run away?
If I tell you a secret, are you here to stay?
I'm afraid to tell you.
Because of how you are.
But to me your like a star.
Your always up. Sometimes hard to find.
But no matter what you always shine.
Your like a bird.
Or maybe the sun, because I can't catch
you,
Yet your bright and fun.
Your the best I could ask for.
The best in the world.
And that's coming from a little girl.
I might be crazy. (Possibly insane)
But it feels real, not fly. Not plain.
I trust you dearly, with all my heart
And this is only the star.
This little secret, is a pretty big one if that.
I'm love sick, and I need a doctor stat.
So I guess you get the idea.
Kinda cheesy, I know.
But there's it one way I can explain it.
And it won't work over the phone.
Your the best friend I've ever had.
The sweetest guy in the world.
And to be honest,
I love you like crazy...
And that's coming from a little girl.

Understanding

To understand me is to have loved me
because I am not an easy person to get
people search for low lites in my high features
but I am far from being plainly written
you won't be able to look up a phrase
or just one characteristic

I fall in love easily but rarely
do I conquer those endeavors
I float in my own world wanna bring a telescope?
A lot of times I need to be reminded of
who has it worse because I often lose hope

I befriend people dirty or clean
because not everyone has soap
we all have stains and things that need rearranging
so often I shower them with my unconditional love

Money to me is like having a body gaurd against poverty
I work over time just to make sure at night I have
a warm bed and covers to pull over my head.
Even if there is no one laying on the other half of the bed.

To understand me is to have loved me.
I love what I do and as I finish this verse
my eyes shine like pearls because I
know who I am and where I want to be.
I have an understanding of self.

For Sale

Driving my car
On a road, filled with Kamikaze
Is too much pain. Sure, I’m not at par
For they own the road
Besides, they rule
I’ve driven a lot, countless trips
To and fro from work, over and over again
At this moment, it’s has become worst
Maybe, I’ll obey my aging brain, use my feet
Or ride the bus the next time. More safety

Who wants to buy my car?
I accept credit, but right now, I really need cash
