Premium Member We Can Make a Difference

A massive malaise is sweeping across the land
People are saying they can’t make a difference
Our so-called leaders have gotten out of hand
Sadly, many voters will certify rank ignorance.
That significant numbers still support Trump
Amazes me. I can’t grasp this conman’s appeal,
For he tried to overthrow the U.S. government
A free and fair national election, he tried to steal.
He’s still going about the country spreading lies
Always tearing down, a serial criminal, I feel.

Folks, we CAN make a difference, I do believe
We can vote for leaders who prize integrity,
We can do everything we can, tensions to relieve
And vote out the scumbags who have no dignity,
Who speak out of both sides of their mouth,
Who say one thing today and another tomorrow
It doesn’t take a lot of homework, just listen…
Make genuine love for our country quid pro quo.
Yes, we can do it! We can do it come November
Let’s make this election one we’ll long remember.

Someone Has Blabbed

Someone has blabbed,
Our secret is out,
And everyone wants in.

Someone has blabbed,
The news is out,
And each day more move in.

Someone has blabbed,
That the rain has not forced us out,
And the wind does not keep us in.

Someone has blabbed,
Now we can't keep them out,
And sharing beautiful Wainuiomata is in.

Someone has blabbed,
And all we can do now is get our vote out,
If we want some space left in.

Premium Member Hidden Voting Travesty

There's a subversive plot afoot many do not note,
A hidden plan on national scale to manipulate the vote.
American leaders instituted a conspiracy to lie,
Millions lost their right to vote out of the public eye.
After southern reconstruction anti suffrage took its place.
Many didn't realize it was all based on race.
Lawmakers took away prisoners' right to vote,
Convicted blacks denied in the laws they wrote.

A quarter of the world's people jailed are here,
sentenced to the maximum penance.
Legislators intentionally violate minority rights,
every time judges impose their sentence.
America has the world's largest population incarcerated,
Advocates have lobbied passionately but are exasperated.

Six million convicted voters are in play,
Election outcomes could start to sway.
National elections can be won or lost on a percent or two,
Prison votes could effect a difference, even if they're few.
You probably didn't connect prisoners to votes, nor did I
Until I understood the hidden reason why.
If I could wave a wand, this travesty would go away.
But all I can do is tell you and hope for a better day.

Government by the People
By Franklin Price

Government by the people
Is, at best, a fantasy
Politicians, by volition,
Know much more than you and me

Not there to represent us
Only there to have their say
They often lead us by the nose
If we fail to see their way

We the people, who elected them
Are remiss, when at the polls
And re-elect the useless egotists
Who rob us of our very souls

When their position there is threatened
They'll resort to anything
To keep themselves in Washington
Enjoying politician's bling.

Following the money
To get more for themselves
It's better than the rainbow's end
With its pot of gold and elves

Don't think there's nothing we can do
Take some time to see who's best
Keep the ones who want the best for us
And vote out all the rest

Hated Politicians

Hated Politicians

Angry people wrapped in hate
Justified, do not hesitate –
If vengeance becomes the mission,
Stop! Vote out the politician.

The world became an angry throng
Where love is short and life is long.
Politicians bought the blame.
Greedy spending wrought its fame.

Government has lost our trust.
Fists in pockets have been thrust.
Expectations evils…greet!
Politicians feel the heat.

Power hogs inflict controls,
While citizen hatred unfolds.
Conflicts grapple; minds entrap
Humanness begins to snap.

If a man decides to live,
He has to take the hurt, forgive.
When retreating from life’s pain.
Man must shake the hurt, to gain.

Premium Member "useless Sources, Political Fleas, Stench Isn'T Cheese"

“Useless Source”

I know some men called, big shots,
Who are filled with much bull snot.
Be careful of it’s use,
For of it there is no spruce.
A men of substance, but no real plot!

“Political Fleas”

Most all of strife’s parasitic forces,
Most always found driving their Porsches.
Poor seen of lesser degree,
Haven’t a pot to pea.
For common good vote out useless sources.

“Stench Isn’t Cheese”

Useless sources, political fleas,
Men of means, pass the bailout please.
Poor have given it their all,
As Uncle Sam called .
The stench on the hill, is not cheese.

Inside the Box

Washington always “thinks inside the box.”
No wonder why we're in this fix we're in.
Their collective thinking stifles or blocks
The country’s progress and provides the spin
To sway the public view to uselessness.
This herd mentality is quite bizarre
To think that all these minds can not express
A single “out of the box" thought thus far.
It’s piteous, at least to me, to see
These coattail hangers we call congressmen-
Inane, inept reps of the bourgeoisie
Wind up screwing us time and time again.
One must conclude this simple inference:
Vote in or vote out makes no difference.
