Leaf

Viceroy butterfly, remarkable
dead ringer for the Monarch
eggs overwinter, a rolled-up leaf
displaying their mother's motif

Premium MemberKeepers of the Flowers

The keepers of the flowers’ secrets arrive in their season
Monarch, viceroy, red-spotted purples, given a good reason.
They bring fantasy and delight to the lilacs and bleeding heart.
Keeping their confidence is what they do so wise and smart.

Faeries and bumblebees try to get in on the confidence action.
But they end up not learning anything to the tulip’s satisfaction.
You see, the zebra swallowtails and orange sulphurs too.
Know how to keep secrets from the likes of them, me and you.

We hide in the meadow, and try to not look interested at all.
In swoops the great spangled fritillary, landing on lilac so tall.
We lean our ears toward the garden, acting nonchalant and lazy.
Fooling not one monarch or zinnia, delighting the lilies and daisy.

Premium MemberSubtle Socialism

"A man convinced against his own will, is of the same opinion still".

It used to be

two opinions
two paths
two ideologies
Two Choices

Day and Night,
Men and women,
Boys and girls,
Fathers and mothers,
Rights and the wrongs

open and closed,
gain and loses,
Lovers and the haters,
Good and evil,
Rich and poor,
Foolish and wise,
success and failure,

learned and unlearned ,
The living and the dead,
The willing and unwilling,
The thankful and thankful,
fruitful and unfruitful,
Righteous and the unrighteous.
the truthful and the Liars,

 Then came
The "Vaxxed" and "unvaxed".
the sane and the insane,
Then they had a problem
as Nations bow to Socialism
and President becomes Dictators
and pharmaceutical made the world a Lab
and the media as viceroy
compel us by repetition.

Premium MemberBlood and Sweat

The tirade of the tyrant
Has subdued the trident
Gloating over the viceroy
It's the blood and sweat of
  victory.

The subdued voice of defeat
Veiled in unapologetic defiance
Shedding secret tears of what could
  have been?
What would have been in the hood
It's the defeat drenched in blood and
  sweat.

The table is set for dinner,
Choice meats, mutton, chicken beef....
This is a parade of victory for the price
Of blood and sweat of the masses.

The meat is gorging on, the flesh is stuck between the teeth
A pain in the mouth, transversing the whole
 polity
The bodies of the dead nationals crushed
A vivid reminder of the price of victory
Of shed blood and sweat.

An Age For Butterflies

Summer crept in
  slow, steady steps within,
dogged pacing of hot and humid days
mixed messages of spring slipping away
and summer waiting to climb
  patient on the edges of space and time;

a butterfly, a gypsy moth, luna and imperial
others more plain and beautiful most ethereal
but when the time and temperature are just right
the multitude of butterfly kissed light
calls monarchs, morning cloaks,
and swallowtails to flight below the oak

a thousand species throng
 clustered and separate floating along
when the flowers blossom and grow
wings of the butterfly flutter and flow.

The time of butterflies multi-colored palettes crest
the age of beauty's sweet undressed caress
an age unmatched, unprecedented
 our temporary visitors and residents
their beauty, awes and delight
 preparing for their southern flight;

winging in and lilting out like graceful eagles
Eastern tailed blues, white admiral , viceroy regals,
the list goes on as if a meditation
 calming floating with little hesitation
the oranges, reds, sulfured tigers and swifts
ride the breezes and windy lifts,
here and there appears these natural gifts.

Time

Thou mighty monarch of “eartherial” scope,
the vicegerent and the viceroy of all fickle frame.
from thy womb lonesome vial sprung,
and the cavalcades of torrents bearing branches

Time
ere that chaotic cosmos regaled in darkness found a cloth of light,
Thou deccreest the bands and bounds by thine unvoiced speeches.
and when creation found a space in thy vast gale.
thy space was not submerged or muted in all affairs.

Time

As a conqueror, we see thy doings over man.
thy power over kings.
and thy victory over thrones
we stand aghast when arrogance is over.
speechless at the remains of monarchs.

Time,

where is Rome, where is Assyria?
Where is Babylon, where is Britain ?
Like carcasses in the wind
they crumbled regaled in dusty past of forgone memories
their days of Power are over

Time
Even now, thy watchers are in all cities upon all arms
when in rage the sword is drawn from the scabbard
some you kill.
other you honour.
and others you mocked.

May we in Time, find our paths ere we bid this earth farewell

Reform

My wheels on the gravel spin around with wholesome timidity, forthwith
No hesitation among the five solitaires surrounding me like a myth,
I’d made up my mind to commence with resumption of self,
Like a viceroy who fiercely enjoyed, earnestly hoped,
Delightfully defended, unprovoked!
Let me redeem the measure of time I privately bred,
Strange is the feeling of freedom,
When everything is done, when everything is said.
Pardon my ignorance as I stepped into the opposite corner,
Excuse all the heartiness given never to be forgiven,
Scarce and hesitant, as a traveler who has sharpened senses,
Willing to cross the great ocean and a shallow sea,
With respect and honouring the deal
Disappointed so much yet those eyes will continue to edify me
Uplift and weaken,
Melt and sadden,
The feeling that lingers is my beacon
Guiding me through a rough storm,
March on! Embrace life, exceptionally warm, - reform!

Winter Love

Winter is both beautiful and dangerous

Islands of snow caress the countryside

Nice friends that you see from day to day

Teachers of nature careful and silent

Every person dressed with style and warmth

Real days of winter where you dress fashionably

Loving the good side of winter where you can ski and skate

Outer limits where you could ski the mountains of Austria

Viceroy ski chalets where you snuggle up with your favorite companion

Every loving minute of winter is there to enhance your lifestyle

Napoleon's Europe

Europe my realm and my prized possession
I instill in thee our novel ideals,
for your feudal laws our conquest repeals.
Our boisterous wind of emancipation
liberates Spain from draconian inquisition.
Of the proud Brits' stupendous earning power,
an Egyptian campaign would rest the case.
I have made subservient Austria to face
defeat and lasting capitulation.
By sheer divine providence I soar
above my Italian inheritance
bequeathed by Papal authority
and placed in custody of my viceroy.
By my might, I brought to subjugation,
the recalcitrant fiefdom of Russia,
and the resilient kingdom of Prussia.
Not even Portugal dared resistance,
with her weak army debased like a toy.
But in sudden flight and rare sobriety,
her sovereign lord bowed to abdication.

Her Sons of Bastardville

Trying to gather the laughter through her corridores..
A winding passage his labyrinth these words their castle
My own, child unto a man then an infant; stain glassed doors
Still, taunting the mockingbird; whom claims this world shall be ?
Betwixt he as she abominations running free; contiguous both
Flesh and spirit; favourable, their common wealth her cockatrice's
Cock-a-doodle-doos ? Benny with his jets; Johnny-jump-up's, minstrel
Song swaying in the wind her camouflage mercenaries; castration's
Mischief-makers ? Enshrined this carcass dodo bird, debonaire....
Continental congress viceroy post, Elizabeth; continuum's, black plague
In elliptical, writings upon the wall; living, breathing, truant, documents; high
Sea, treason; white wigs and ruby red lips ? Passing to as fro his, season; wicked.

Cottonwood Dreams

viceroy butterfly
dancing
on the tips
of cottonwood
dreams

tumbling
in the
spiritual air

your seamless
wings are
slicing through
the wind

mimicking
royal blue

Love Splash Baby

Love splash baby -
You bring me abundant joy.
Such beauty – such wisdom;
Do inhabit my dear Buttercup.

Love splash baby -
Oh don’t you be so coy.
Much respect – much knowledge;
You so instill in this grown-up.

Love splash baby -
Mommy loves her little Viceroy.
Such prosperity – such peace;
Abound within my little Julep.

The Hunt

The hunt begins, the sovereign had spoken,
We search for every man weak and broken.
It doesn’t matter what and why we destroy,
The order has been given by the viceroy.
We pillage and burn everything to the ground,
The bishop said: Take all, including each hound.

In peace we be, before all will be dead,
That’s what went on the wise man’s head.

The attack begins; the fort is under siege,
The goal is to kill each and every leach.
The soldiers unequipped and unfit to fight,
Yet they must spread the unholy light.
And in front of the line general will be:
The peaceful teacher, the wise one… me.
