Neon God

I do not want a neon God
Orange bright
Flourescent pink, glowing light
For all to see
In darkest night

I'd rather have
The subtle charm
With strength to hold in every arm 
Or patient hope
And solid calm 

I do not need
The flashy stuff on garish stage 
With visuals on every page
As life rotates
Through human age 

The wisdom now
To soulful dreams
Is silence

Las Vegas here we are

astronomical odds they may be
cross your fingers for good luck
get into the groove, into the rhythm
spin hoping for a winfall or free games
spin to hear those bells go crazy
spin for a major hit to cash out

that jackpot has your name on it
somebody's got to win
it might as well be you
adrenalin pumping
get those lights flashing
let crowds

Is poetry soup on vacation in Vegas

Today was a very odd day 
every comment on my poems 
were at least 3 and a half hours 
away I only posted a few today 
just to see where we were all 
going as if poetry soup took all 
of us on a wild vacation seated 
under a giant umbrella on the 
beaches of

Shooting UNLV Campus, Las Vegas Today

The shooting happenedand  at.
University of Las Vegas at 11’:59 am.
One shooter is dead. Police not sure, there are more.
There are victtims but unknowm how many or on what shape.
Check online for updates.
Meanwhile, say prayers for all injured,.
Police did not say how many.
For now, the entire campus is a crime scene?

Ok, maybe that's vice versa
Its a poolside, post-graduate MTV Spring Break
Some of us much more "post" than others

Flamingo Capri, Elvis impersonator
Caesar’s Palace, world’s best buffet

Dunes, best shrimp cocktail thirty cents
