Unties Poems

Premium MemberThe dance divine within

Heart contracts when there is conflict
and expands when love and light grows
so each vibration, when hand picked
manifests bliss between eyebrows.

Love is God’s refrain, free from stain,
that unties us from karmic chain.

Why would we resist, love’s bliss mist,
wherein ignition renewal
ushers rapture that our heart missed,
bestowing clear sight, non-dual?

We have the cake and eat it too,
watching dance divine continue.

Breath by breath, as we bilocate,
we find ourself at heaven’s gate.

Love Sonnet

"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life. The word is love."
-Sophocles, Greek poet

One word unties all the shackles and pains
Of a world that's spiced with bitter and sweet;
A word that shines against tempest and rains
That could make the world rise against defeat.

Its bright shine is like a glowing rapture
That, for the troubled souls brings rains of bliss.
It mends the wounds of hearts that it captures,
Just like heaven spiced with thrilling sweet kiss.
For, somewhere in hearts, the shine of love glows,
And even when there seems to be no hope.
From deep within, the great breath of love blows.
Hearts meant for each other are bound to cope.

Somewhere in the space of heaven above,
There's place for the home of great thing called love.

Echoes of Sorrow mourning the Loss of Innocence

It grieves me to witness our youth's demise,
Each day, each hour, another life unties.
Daughters, sons, announced dead, bereft,
In a world where cruelty has left.

What have we done to merit such woe,
To meet our end in a violent flow?
We've become beasts, monsters in disguise,
Lost in our deeds, devoid of wise.

Do we not possess a shred of conscience,
To heed the cries, to cease the violence?
I can't fathom a parent's pain,
Burying their child, guilt their chain.

Blame weighs heavy on their hearts each day,
Feeling they've failed, lost their way.
What have we become, what's our fate,
To suffer such cruel, relentless hate?

God, hear our plea, our broken souls,
As we navigate life's treacherous shoals.
We plan our lives, yet others plot,
To rob us of all we've sought.

Rape, murder, each day's grim news,
Lives taken, souls bruised.
Enemies within, fear our guide,
As death's shadow looms, nowhere to hide.

Haven't we borne enough, shed enough tears,
In this cruel world, fueled by fears?
What cruel fate do we now endure,
In this world where suffering is sure?

Premium MemberNow That We Are Here

Quote: Give life your best shot for desires appear and disappear
Love alone unties the Gordian knot

Now that we are here, let us do our very best
with what we have been given, God will do the rest;
Since we have been called to live a life of authenticity
we ought to shun duplicity and deceitful ways
in order to make way for the best version of ourselves.
When we do this we can accept most anything that God
sends our way. Sword in hand we fight the battles of life,
like an Arc-angel of old. No support team is needed
if you place your best efforts in the hands of the greatest
Alchemist there ever was...
Love alone unties the knots of life so knit yourself
to the belief that good things come to those who wait...
Sit by the River Jordan and be baptized into His palpable Love
Unloose the sandals of despair, step into hope and live.

Premium MemberParadise Tonight

There lives a touch of the Divine inside my soul tonight
and as I surrender to its peaceful ways I begin to awaken gently
I am a wayward soul in need of Godlike essence,
a Seraphic beauty that unties with every silent prayer.
My heart allows the inner flow of the Divine to intervene,
as scented thoughts penetrate and perfuse, I meet my Divine
muse;
In this quiet paradise for one I am connected to all beings
and all beings are connected to me, through love.
Tonight the incense shall burn inside this ancient kiln
"Yarim Tepe"... softening the edges of my emotions,
like a Divine emollient, and turning me to softer shadows;

The sound of inner peace shawling, I breathe
and as the soul meets the night, my dreams take flight
In this Divine journey of discovery, I am content
to co-exist, aside its beautiful liquid golden light.

A Trip To the Grocery Store

each day we walk, slowly and leisurely, through our neighborhood
enjoying the sights of houses, purple, blue, yellow
gardens started and forgotten, left fallow for the fall,
to the grocery store.

as we near the destination, a man on the corner is yelling and dancing
paying no attention to us or anyone, a sign near his feet saying
“bread, please. just one loaf to keep me going. it’s the little things”
we add another item to our list.

we make the rounds, crossing off the list, ending with a soft loaf of wheat.
when we exit the store he’s still dancing. we take the loaf out of our bags and
hand it to him. he unties the bag and reaches in for three pieces and sniffs.
“it’s perfect”. he crushes the pieces in his hands, forming little balls
of grain. shock on our faces, bread flying at our heads, we run. he’s laughing
and i turn around to see him smiling big. it feels good making someone happy.

Premium MemberThat Borrowed Thought

That borrowed thought, which chanced our way
We enrich in our heart
The void itself, begins to sway
When love’s added to cart

Embrace, release, flow on
Each moment thus reborn
Ushering a new dawn

Unties a knot
That borrowed thought

Peace Believer

I believe in the weapon of smiles
that brings men together, melts the walls,
secures hope, paves to love.

I believe in the weapon of peace
that unties the chains and is a
wealth of nations.

If you believe in war and
prefer suspicion to hope,
danger to serenity,
division to unity,
hatred to conscience,
if anger is strength for you, and
disagreement a curse,
if you're a stranger to empathy
and rejoice the pain of your neighbor,
if you're a convert to law of revenge,
bite for a bite, eye for eye, stone for stone,
if you as much suffer
the disease of unforgiveness,
then come dance with me and let me show you
the steps of togetherness and
harmony, the flood of emotions
that spring from your inner core
buried under the war drums.

The Irony of Paradox

Why wouldn't a bottle of wine gets drunk,
Why wouldn't the sharp edge
of a sword cuts itself,
Why wouldn't the mind
unravels its own mystery,
Why wouldn't a rope
unties its own knot.

After reaching its destination
why does a road wanders off helter-skelter,
Why do the waves of the sea
retreat after reaching ashore,
Why the mountain is not fearful of its height,
Why the whirlpool does not get dizzy,
Where is nowhere,
How do you do nothing,
How do you hear silence,
How do you see darkness,
How can you run out of patience,
Why the broken clock wouldn’t stop time?

Even as Life longs to live life forever
Why wouldn’t Death stay dead forever?

We Bleed Out

We Bleed Out
By Sy Roth

Unbroken string of invective--
The world deserves it.
It blurs our memories.

No need to sing its praises
When it undoes us,
Unties the laces that bind us
And drops us off at a station
Where work make us free
Without a ticket.

SSN and its variables cling to us
And we blend into a miniscule world
Where the spectacles on the hill of ash
Watch us
Follow us with its empty eyes
As we bump along its hillocks
And care only about the MPGs
And not where it is taking us.

We simply cover the miles until we run out of gas.

Can’t parley with the atoms that collide into us.
Neutrinos, faster than light,
Zip by without respite
And we fail to see it,
Just sense it,
A theoretical maze that confounds.

All those particles that slice through
And we do not know that we have been cut
By a thousand blades
Until we bleed out
Soulless
And nourish the ground.

Time

The clock ticks constantly
Almost to monstrosity
It makes me think of the vacancy sign I hate
Constantly going at its own lonely rate
This pencil touching this paper feels like fate
But we should get on with it for it seems the time is getting late

Remember white eyes
Hiding in the black skies
Surrounded by dark lies
In which you only find out the truth as your life’s fate unties

Tick Tock
Twelve ‘o’clock
Time to dock
The death boat
Throw me over but I won’t float
I’m like a king without a bridge to cross his moat
But time comes with death, and he won’t leave a note
You don’t get a vote

As you think time flies
Life dies
Plus we all know god lies
We cannot live forever
When death comes we’ll say never

Love for living is not limited to those born with a caul,
Illustrious beliefs arrive at daybreak and on moonbeams.
Ferocious appreciation for ancestors who live in the great hall.
Excitement of life can be found in coffee’s sweet creams.
Staying true to ourselves saves many of us from a big fall.
Mysteries galore are shown to us in visualization dreams.
Youthfulness stays when we hear our soul’s urgent call.
Solitude is a way to understand God’s gentle push streams.
Total flexibility helps us climb every large daunting wall.
Enthusiasm shines down from spiritual advisor’s sweet beams.
Respect for others keeps us feeling amazingly on track and tall.
Imagination unties herself willingly, expanding her seams.
Enhancement of self can be pretty easily done without gall.
Soul keeps our secrets, loving us casually in our ethereal dreams.

Silence Is a Poem

"Silence is a Poem"

Silence is a poem
she is music in me
a constant chattering conversation

she is my daily mantra
big love residing in my heart
wrapped as a gift;

the child in time
finds me waiting
in words she traces from my mind

I’ve written for her
A path,
she intrepidly follows

She unties the ribbons
Love is not blind
It is for her

my present
