Rise in the Uneven Light

When they say “no” before you start,
And give the prize to their own friend,
You feel the weight upon your heart—
But know this isn’t yet the end.

When staying quiet feels so safe,
And speaking out might cost too much,
Hold on to truth, keep your own pace,
And guard the dreams you long to touch.

When the night feels colder than day,
And laughter fades to empty air,
You light a spark to find your way,
And see that someone’s still out there.

When the climb feels steeper each time,
And every step begins to ache,
You hum a tune, keep up the climb—
Some roads are worth the work they take.

Dedication for love

dedication for love

You’re being noticed by others,
While I search for your love.
I’ve been lied to, knowing I've been
Replaced by your mother's love.
Oh, what can I get in return?

I've taken all the warmth from your arms
But it's futile; we're nothing worthwhile.
You seem to be unaware of my needs,
though I need you more than ever.

I lost myself scrutinizing for intimacy,
Yet, you're searching for the lies I've told.

I've fallen deep into the hole
You built for me.
Yet, with my resolute heart, I chase
The hope of love that refuses to fade.

A Lombardian young man nicknamed Stan;
delivered Amazon stuff in his van.
They didn’t pay very much
being so out of touch;
so he skedaddled back home to Milan.

Reciprocity So Evenly Uneven

who are you now but a version of who am i
we are but question mark bombs that will eventually explode in time
when we explode, what will we confess to
when the date was fresh, why did we not engrave it lasting memories

who am i now but a facsimile of who are you
we are but an exclamation point in the middle of nowhere
when we explore, what will we actually discover
when the nature was ripe, why did we not partake in the healing elements

we are now familiar new arrivals in an altered state of never known unknown
what was one planet earth revealed is now space age miunderstood
we were once champions of unified connection in an ever so perfect neighborhood
now we are just objects of desire for the unfiltered appetite of the square root of normalcy's regularity....

Uneven Race

…and those in the race
Continued running
And the gap widened
Between they and us
Who stayed behind
And invoked native ingenuity
To give value to our lives.

For us the race was run:
To beg their aid is taboo!

Uneven Path

It was a summer night.
A windswept moonbeam
plummeted. Sexualizing

an indigo flesh. A butcher
was seducing
a spider, in company of

a holy book. Sunbathing in
mass grave of skulls. The eyes
peeking out of the caps.

You want to pluck the blue
berries from
volcano mounts. The key player

will burn your script. Body
of milk died on snow. The
moth was coming out of cocoon.

Three Uneven Stanzas In B Flat By Ron Porter

Blues
are cutting me like a knife
all the way down
down to my soul
somebody please play some rock? '?n?' ?roll
maybe if i can get up and,? ?bop and stroll
it might be balm
for these blues
cutting me like a knife

like a mill-wheel grinding me
Blues
wear me down
i am ground up like fine meal
won't somebody throw down some jazz
something smooth-melodic,? ?to help me heal
cause i can not deal
with blues,? ?like a mill-wheel turning
turning to grind me down

every note pierces my heart with pain
change the music but refrain
from the same.? ?play ska,? ?gospel or reggae
rap or metal to chase my blues away
except country of course with its repeat
of loss,? ?despondency and defeat
that pierce my heart,? ?pierce my heart,? ?as if a pike
cause the stories told are so much like
the Blues

2010 - Uneven Strokes of Life

On the huge and empty canvas
I threw some paints and colors
And then let it freely flow
Like blank and free verses

I came forward and silently watched
It crawling softly
Between the ups and the downs
And highs and the lows of life

They were all uneven strokes of life but significant.........

And then my life flashed in front of me
With outside realities of vibrant colors
That high lighted the signs that popped up
And left marked and unmarked tracks to follow

That led me to the water brook
Where I poured my soul
And all the troubles and worries
And there I learnt to seek life

And see around the corner and up ahead
To pick up the vibes to ensure myself
That I'm in the flow of life
In the right place, at the right time

They were all uneven strokes of life but significant............

When Your Road Is Uneven

When your road is uneven and heading uphill,
when it seems your agenda with troubles is filled,
When your strength's dissipating and your heart's empty, too.
Never fear, just remember there is still hope for you!
If you keep your head high and your feet on the path,
the day will soon come when at all this you'll laugh,
and you'll realize then that what helped you survive
Was simply your joy just in being alive.
It's what made you keep trying when each try seemed in vain...
it's what kept your eyes focused on what you could gain.
Don't forget that an uneven road climbing high
At the top of the hill let's you scan from the sky!

Perfectly Uneven

We're built to be uNeven.
In balance or Knot
We're Weaving.

Nature makes it this way
So the earth can sway
Else we'd be hot,
While freezing.

Look to your feet
If you don't believe me.
Touch your skin
Epidermis is breathing.

We wiggle when we wobble
And we giggle when we cobble,
Yes making shoes one too small
So we can hobble? lol!

Now THAT'S perfectly uneven.
Thinking.
