Rise in the Uneven Light
When they say “no” before you start,
And give the prize to their own friend,
You feel the weight upon your heart—
But know this isn’t yet the end.
When staying quiet feels so safe,
And speaking out might cost too much,
Hold on to truth, keep your own pace,
And guard the dreams you long to touch.
When the night feels colder than day,
And laughter fades to empty air,
You light a spark to find your way,
And see that someone’s still out there.
When the climb feels steeper each time,
And every step begins to ache,
You hum a tune, keep up the climb—
Some roads are worth the work they take.
