Love that saved stork

“It’s a very beautiful bird. It can never be ugly!
It’s the most beautiful bird in the world!”
- Quote by Purnima Devi Barman,
Wildlife biologist who saved
Greater Adjutant stork species
-------------------------------------------------------
Greater Adjutant stork
Uncomely looks
Despised by all
For being ugly
No other fault

No graceful gait
No melody
Awkward height
Impolite eater
Unsettled gaze

A woman fell in love
Raised an all woman
Hargila army to save
To educate, made those
Who despised love the bird

Rescued,
Rehabilitated
Cared,
Now the storks
Live in peace

Love can change
Love can conquer
Love is best when
Under pressure, so
Says the saved storks

An endangered bird
Brought back to live
Just because one
Woman saw beauty
In this incongruous bird

The body consists of many members.
With ears we can hear; with eyes we can see.
With a sharp mind one learns and remembers.
The legs and the arms function differently.

The ear shouldn't covet to become the eye
for the desire to be able to see.
Would it cease to hear if it were to try?
If all were the eye, could the body be?

The body can't tell the lungs, "I don't need you,"
for they are essential for one's breath.
Some members that seem uncomely to view,
if removed could lead to the body's death.

We're all unique members of one body.
None should feel lowly or be puffed with pride.
Each is needed to perform completely.
By God's design together we abide.

Premium MemberAn Untimed Shower

Seafoam dreams massage deep into my scalp,
as uncomely thoughts drift drain-ward destined.
A warm, white noise water rush of comfort
cradles me back to the days of my womb home,
with the only goal of growing and thriving.

Support Them For God's Sake

Support Them for God's Sake

This is inspired by poem "Sow"
and dedicated to Tom Kesting
Whose poems are easy to be digesting.

Someone stated to sow small seed long ago
Like each word of the Lord began to grow
Heard what seed through God started to say
Son surely will come again in future one day.

Seed slowly sipped water beneath the sod
His effort to grow was only seen by God
With God's help each seed grows and grows
Limit and extent of God's power no one knows.

To reliable reaper God did bestow a seed to sow
He shook it to and fro and soon started to grow
And some day maybe it might turn into a weed
God still will fulfil weed's each want and need.

God, please take this seed that is still Thine
And give it great health with bread and wine
That your Holy Son Jesus does represent
Who only your goodness and love always meant.

Whether unsightly, uncomely or undernourished
Weak, sickly small or did become discouraged
Let us love and support them for God's sake
And one day with Him to heaven He will take.

Blow me down, lover!! I love it when we talk dirty.

(Hahahaha. I see the Soup powers-that-be deleted my word. I swear it's not used as a swearword. The word rhymes with "hussy". lol)

Optimist and the Pessimist....Disagree

The optimist,tells the pessimist
...........not to be so cynical,
but,it is hard to resist laughing
..........at developing satirical

Adornments of mother nature
aren't evil,hellish caricatures
sunken uncomely creatures
with somewhat similar features,
but,whom's to weigh and measure
as we return with our treasure,
understanding from endeavors
wrought out from pain and pleasure...

The pessimist tells me it doesn't matter
it's almost time to quit this pitter-patter
but...the optimist just wants to clear the air,
find something or someone who really cares....

Only we,can know personally,
the amount of treasure in our storehouse.....

Awakened By the Winds

Awakened by the winds,
soft caresses upon my face.
Showered with the sweet fragrance
of Honeysuckle, Lavender and
Magnolia’s in full bloom.
Even before my eyes were open,
I knew the day could hold no gloom.
Natures melody, beckoning me to the garden below.
Come, oh come! Born they are, our young!
The fairies sang.
Light as a feather, barefoot and free,
I fled to the garden to see!
Golden flecks flitted from here to there.
New fairy life was everywhere!
Sing us a song mother,
a lullaby please…
Weave a spell bidding us well,
Oh mother will you, please?

Come nigh, she whispered.
Lady bugs nor beetles,
 scraggly weeds or thistle,
 weaving spiders, or any spinners,
slugs nor snails.
Uncomely things, or wagging tails.
No spell, no charm can to do you harm, she sang.
For hence! The fairy queen is nigh.
The winds then played a magical tune
Everything in the garden surreal.
Opening my mind, a new awakening
Familiar Fairy, forever –friends!
Awakened by the winds.
