I am a lone foreigner alocated
in an exotic landscape with
nothing but the foaming blue tides of duvet
that I rythmically sway with like
the sweet branches of spring.
I stand, bend, sit on the salty
lips of that ocean.
however the shallow has never
been my comfort zone so
I fling myself into the belly of my bed
and find my head in the jaws of a soft
pillow chewing my skull at snail pace.
slowly, a heavy weight of
sleep drowns my lifeless limbs
and sedates my consciousness with a lullaby.
"you're free!
free from labour, free from you, free from everything besides me", sings Lady Lazy.
suddenly
dawn breaks with orange permeable heat,
she is Bed 257.
she is not a root, she is a seed.
keeping me from work,
I pull myself out of
the vast roaring sheets and tidal duvet,
I'm gratefully unappreciative
and so the cycle continues.

HOW THE ECHO FILTERS REALITY
An echo is always intended as a sort of reply
An answer, if you will, to reinforce meaning
Yet each, in its own way, takes the initiative
And maybe accused of being unappreciative
As towards a new reality it could be leaning
But over time, it must slowly but surely die
Multiple repeated attempts one may detect
Each echo reflected by various hard surfaces
Rebounding back, almost attempting rhyme
Adding a subtle new dimension every time
A reinforcement for all intent and purposes
The original sound surprised by such effect
An echo may try to assume a new identity
Yet is ever constrained to reflect its origins
Nevertheless, it retains that single modality
However much might be lost of the reality
As each repeated echo once again, begins
But as it finally dies, one may just feel pity

Loneliness is confinement rather that fear,
a need to suppress reality;
how dreadful is to live daily
in a closed box without sunshine and air!
Was there a constant voice whispering,
" Go after your wishes, it's freewheeling! "
Roger is an example of sheer irony,
his proposal was rejected by Milly;
nothing he saw was reasonably good,
his days were unappreciative and sad.
Even brilliant minds quickly surrender
to strain: they should know better!
Is there enough confidence
to go after your wishes on quick sand?
No shortcuts are recommended:
you will end up empty-ended;
daring is bold, it needs no courage
to break down that constant rage!
My suggestion to you, buddy is to break free:
get rid of false hypothesis;
dreamer, go after your wishes:
heed these words, don't get stunk by a bee!
Dreamer, go after your wishes:
express thoughts of positivity;
never indulge in self-pity,
spare yourself tons of tears!

Teensy tiny toad totally teeters on a goblet edge
In this prissy uppity restaurant! Screamed unappreciative Sedge.
The prices are outrageous! This toad is ruining my meal!
His blind date thought he was acting like a bit of a heel.
He wanted a refund, demanded the chef come their way.
His date, who had brought the toad, quickly ran out and away.
I guess I am the best gauge of character, the tiny toad said.
Yes, she agreed. I love it that you are always here for me, Ned.

In these precarious times,
I would be most unappreciative
not to give thanks to God
for what remains of goodness in the world:
the love and support of family and friends,
the kindness of strangers,
and the bounties of the earth which always I’ve enjoyed.
Furthermore, I have deep respect for those who died
to preserve the freedoms I hold dear -
especially for those who in the most fearsome of times
and wearing their valor like a knight’s armor
while witnessing horrors and great sorrows -
were willing to die for someone like me
who cannot even fathom a sacrifice so huge as theirs.
I thank God for the souls of such great people
who fought to keep freedom’s light burning brightly.
In these modern times I am thankful, Lord,
for the convictions of men and women
who, for righteous causes,
are willing to sacrifice their reputations
and even give up their very livelihoods
by standing up for truth
as they know it to be.
Thank you, God, for my inspiring fellow beings -
the ones who stand firm in their convictions,
and help me, please, oh God, to be
as brave as they.

enlivening, sustaining, nourishing
ocean, lake, stream, pool, river, rain, drips, drops
drinking, swimming, watering, bathing
wasteful, unappreciative,

Remembering Memorial

Remembering Memorial
The last Monday in May
We need to all remember
Why we Nationalized this day
Began with Decoration Day
To put flowers on the tombs
Of ones killed in the civil war
That sent them to their dooms
Was made a National event
In one nine seven one
Officially Memorial Day
For dead, of all wars, not just one
We must keep within our thoughts
That our freedoms are not free
The ones we honor on this day
Gave their all for you and me
Went when they heard duty call
Did not flee or run away
Should recognize their sacrifice
And the price they had to pay
Some now recognize this day
As beginning of the Summer
They are the unappreciative
Don't become one of their number

All was well in the kingdom until squirrely
Burlesque queens with raunchy, yet
Candid sense of humors and delectably
Delightful appetites of various natures began
Eliminating unappreciative uptight relatives and fair weather
Friends who could not empathize and did not care about their show.
Gearing up to annihilate the competition with laughs and giggles, and
Heroically re-build unearned, sullied community-given
Images into what they’ve always believed to be truth-telling, these
Jovial, unified,
Kindred, happy-go lucky souls were soon
Laughing their shoes off with crazed relief and corrupting
My own self-assured Uncle
Nathan who at 19,
Often
Portrayed uptight
Queen Viviana, in his weekly drag queen side show,
Respectfully and with love, and a smidge of irreverence.
So let this be a lesson to Drag Queens
To whom we owe respect.
Under no circumstances should Queen
Viviana’s
Wayward Son,
Xisus, be allowed to wear
Yellow tights, garter belt or dress. Not that
Zanier things have not happened in the palace.

sometimes in the winter
is when i can breathe the best
the minty mist in the morning
fills me up with zest
i look at her still sleeping
i feel fulfilled and blessed
i head to the kitchen to make her breakfast
she has my heart i do confess
i remember when i was dying
she saved my life indeed
she lifted my head when i was crying
she helped me grow with a brand new seed
a few of my friends now are cheating
unappreciative of God's Gifts
their struggles will soon be repeating
as a result their spirits will shift
i appreciate the queen that crowns me
each and everyday when i rise
for when her crown is slapped from her head and stomped on
in the end it is the other one that cries

When I think of all the things that we should be grateful for
I am uneasy, because we take most things for granted
And sometimes even forget to say thank you.
We sometimes overlook the little things that often
make our day.
Worrying about other things, which has gone on
yesterday?
We sometimes neglect those, who love us most
To be bothered by those who do not care
Be grateful for the little things in your life,
That could eventually grow into greater things
There is so much to give and so much to receive
But remember to be unappreciative can alter your thrill
All things has its season and there is a reason for the
things that has come your way
But in all things give thanks, knowing you are master of
your fate
For God has put this power in your hand.
Don’t let the negative things in this world ruin your faith
For God has given you the positive things in life to make
you great.
Be grateful for this place, for the simple things in life
And for all those who have impacted your life, by showing
you a better way.

I couldn’t say if it was a haunting or an enchantment but either way I knew I couldn’t escape it. How or why this was happening I couldn’t say because at the time I seemed to have lost the words it would have taken to explain. Maybe if I were to pick a phrase I might say it was “desire” or love perhaps but lately I can’t be so sure I understand what that is anymore since it all happened. Then again perhaps that in its self was but a mystery designed to envelope my being probably forever. What I saw was a strikingly beautiful face almost beyond my imagination and every time I see it now I realize I am helpless to avoid it and I know now that it will be with me throughout the rest of my days. Now it has become an enchantment that rushes to my mind from the pounding of my each and every heartbeat every time I see it. And even though my soul may sorely regret that this could be little more than a fairy tale most likely never realized even so it seems to serve me now as an embossment in my mind that will help to carry me through and that is a gift I could never be unappreciative of.

Sometimes I wanna hold on and pray.
Hoping things will get better when day breaks.
Wrong I am because some things don't fix.
Unappreciative to those putting smile on my face.
It's a sad triangle going on in this phase.
Sense I oughta have when plans as such are misplaced.
Dead end trail I keep trying to chase.
Some iron never welder like in this case.
Forcing steel to straighten up gets me in no place.
Gotta let this transform to whatever caves.
I love what are not meant to be, Maze.
And get in races I don't win, Daze.
