Humanity is sick.
Humanity is fragile.
We come into the
world being taught
the opposite of
these fundamental
truths.
We are taught that everyone is equal,
that everyone deserves a chance.
But the world teaches us differently.
It doesn’t care who you are—
only what you’re worth,
only what you can
give before you
are broken.
But the truth is sharper—
there are no guarantees,
only chances taken
and chances lost.
What good were
our promises, besides
failed ideals? And
what good are ideals
when no one is held
to them?
Their losses
have taught
me:
we aren’t the sum of our flaws—
we are the sum of our virtues.
Even if those virtues are selfish.
Even if we don’t deserve a
second chance.
The world can take everything you
have in an instant, but you have to give it your
pride.
And you have to give
hope to the lies we tell
to heal the world.

Why are you lonely?
When the sun hold the summer's hand tightly
Even the snow don't want to lose the sight of winter
Who do you love?
When the leaves just fall for the autumn
Leaving behind their branches lonely
When the flowers say they bloom for the spring
To be withered one day
Who do you miss right now?
Even tomorrow long for today when tomorrow
Was not here yet
Where do you belong to?
When the moon points toward the night sky
Doesn't matter if he is not complete
Even the waves run back to the ocean
After visit the shore
Why are you still here?
When the rain don't want to be a burden
For the clouds
How long are you going to wait?
Even the birds fly miles away
across the oceans when the time is here
Who are you?

"The Unanswerable"
by: Eric L. Boddie
Excuse me, but do you have the time
How can I verify the truth of your mind
Where did it all begin
How long does it take to become a friend
Why do I have no control of my dreams
Why do some act like only they can blow off steam
How long is pain there before we understand it hurts
How many tests does it take before we realize it works
What level must emotion reach before the first tear drops
Who among us has the knowledge of when Love starts and when it stops
How much opinion was in the very first fact
If you were really me, just how different could you truly act
Which is stronger, a day or a week
If we are all human, can any really be unique
How much of a push is considered to be a shove
And how much fool does it take to blind one from Love
Just food for thought.....

i know your beauty,
because i have seen your ugliness.
i know you're good,
because i have seen your darkness.
i know you're humble,
because i have seen your pride.
i know you're smart,
because i have seen you act dumb
i know you're strong,
because i have seen you fail.
i know your soul,
because you showed me your heart.
if i let you see my darkness,
will you think i am good?
if i show you my ugliness,
will you see my beauty?
if i show you my pride,
would you know i am humble?
if you saw me act dumb,
would you believe i am smart?
if you saw me fail,
would you think i am strong?
if i showed you my heart,
would you stay?

She said we don’t sit together in the car anymore
Remember when we first met and how we grooved
I said too bad but I’m still here behind the wheel
So can you answer this, guess who moved?
I was watching the game with a bowl of ice cream
She looked at me asking are you going to eat all that
I said no, I’m leaving it melt to put it in my tire
I thought it would work better than fix-a-flat
She said my word you are much too overweight
How are you going to get rid of all that fat
I said I’m not. You used to say you wanted
To see more of me. Now you can do just that.
Are you going to shovel the sidewalk
It’s getting deep out there you know
I said no, I’m letting the sidewalk be
I’m just going to shovel the snow
A deer ran out in front of us and she screamed
If you hit it how much do you think you’d have to pay
I said oh, he would have lost in court, dear
I had the right of way
She heard the bag crumbling
And yelled you are eating again I bet
I said No I’m not eating again
I’ll have you know I’m eating yet
