Faith, Hope And Charity

Three sisters; Faith, Hope, Charity and me
were swimming naked in the moonlight
all together in a sea of tranquility
when gravity threw Hope across the water
it really shouldn't oughta
as that left Faith, Charity and I
but Faith departed can't think why
perhaps because three's a crowd
yet Charity remained unbowed
so to her I gave a tender kiss
not thinking it would

The black sky is tranquil, dotted with a thousand stars, inviting rest and calm. It offers a rewards of sorts:  a peaceful night that soothes the mind and soul.

darkness is a friend
wraps me in its gentle fold
whispers "all is well"

night is full of peace
the world's chaos fades away
my soul finds its rest

Still Point

When storm clouds gather
overshadow the sun
and darkness overwhelms
has me on the run
I look on you as the lodestone
to a sense of calm serenity
see you as a compass of my own
to a place of quiet tranquility
when hard times follow
in the wake left behind
and troubles overtake
only to remind
in a yearning world
with all its sadness
and is out of

Sea Of Tranquility

By day my dreams go drifting
of their own design
I find my mind wandering
down to the waterline
for a change of scene
let's you and me
go swimming in the sea
of tranquility
leave all cares behind
we'll sail away sometime soon
and bathe by the light of the moon

Tranquility in Silence

Can you hear the absence of bickering,
the snickering, snide remarks and animosity?

The pomposity of inflated egos in blogs
that just shouldn't be taking place. 

A blog without the chance for someone's
feelings to be trampled and hurt~
Just once~ humor me for creating such a blog.

She collects souls to be their shepherd,
to keep them — and their short lives — safe.
All moments, catalogued
in the chaos and cosmos.

Her curiosity appears as wit,
sharp with double entendres,
an intelligence cloaked in playful tongues.

Summer Sonnet: River-Woman

Awakened! I returned a stream in Spring
to flow and grow on nature’s snowmelt milk.
I came to be of earth and sky (...a fling;),
my sire a winter storm. Like liquid silk 

emerging, I was born; a water-child.
Between two banks I nestled with my dreams
and bloomed a gAnGLy creek ‘til solstice. Wild
I played— not meek but sleek.

Clear Sky

The Cheshire Cat smiles
Behind the dark velvet sky
Where Fireflies wander

Pool of Tranquility

And then it stopped.
The jagged edge of anxiety smoothed 
by the fall in slow motion -
A tumble into a pool of tranquility.

Suddenly awakened from the angst
by the splash of a refreshing reality;
reminding me that I need to
swim in peace for a while.


The pool is deep and calming.
It soothes the rawness of disquiet 
and the cruelty

Calm and serene as the silent sea
I wear feel of its cerulean waters
Swim in peace in its tranquility 
Let go of negative sentiments
To uphold purity and live in harmony.

Sitting With The Light

Sitting in it.
The evening sunlight stretched across my lap
like a thin blanket just meant to keep my legs warm.
Birds chirp as they nestle in the trees.
Their mother's outstretched arms.
Fairies flicker in the golden light
singing the flowers to sleep.
Spirits of the sky and dirt bustle about
as the day slips into night.
Honey colored rays fade into pale

The Quest of Life

The quest of life, it is no certain thing,
No circumstance assurance brings of bliss.
So many thoughts, so very few take wing;
The hit or miss is measured more by miss.
Shall happiness take hold when we gain gold?
The heaping up of stuff shows little worth.
The misery of wealth is too well told;
Tranquility is not composed of earth.
