Tranquility

Tranquility is worth more than gold, as we make the journey to our sacred goal. Quote, poet’s own. * * * Tranquillity is silence, nothing said Written words linger in a readers head Poets have their way of leaving their mark In the stars and inside of someone's heart. A reader and writer may never meet Yet words will swing along to one's heartbeat Poems of love leave one all warm right through That lifts the spirit when one's life is blue. Alike being snug in a cosy chair Reading poetry, forgetting one's cares For those of faith, there's many can relate To tales of joy behind God's golden gate. Tribute poems melt the toughest of hearts They mean so much, and are top of the charts To recipients words mean such a lot They're alike sweets bought from a candy shop. Poetic humour brightens up one's day A laugh a day keeps grumpiness away And when in the silence of loneliness Tranquil poetry is truly the best.

This poem beautifully captures the essence of tranquility and the profound impact poetry can have on the heart and mind. It speaks to the timeless connection between reader and writer, even when they never meet in person. The verses remind us of how poetry brings warmth during tough times, offering comfort like a snug chair or sweet treats from a candy shop. Making this poem a true celebration of the calming power of words.
