Trace

Trace

You came and left like the wind

Sometimes I wonder if you were
Ever really here at all

But you were I can see your footprints
In the path of my existence

One day I’ll leave without a trace

This life is as familiar to me as my five fingers,
Yet I still find the flaws that linger.
When I think of the future for the next of kin,
My soul withers...
in various ways...
I begin to spin.

My soul withers...
in various ways...
My life drifts toward the western bay.
There’s no time to turn or even glance,
Many souls pass by, lost in the dance.

Many don’t grasp the essence of this life,
Has anyone truly reached their aimed strife?
As I wander in this flurry and haste,
One day I’ll leave without a trace.

Though these words may not make sense to some,
The blue sea won’t stir if no battles come.
Rivers may overflow in the end,
And pour into the sea, if you comprehend.

Premium MemberLong Story Short

No empathy, but scorn, cause I am not
The one that meets the eligible entry
Your government won’t like the fact I’ve got
A lifetime story short which seems eccentric
It takes me to the underground train
That goes encircled in perpetual motion
One stop invites to make a change one day
I travel fast to see the roaring ocean
And when I’m there, it splashes in my face
The foam dissolves, the waves get high like never
I’m stepping back, and running water licks my trace
In a split second it will be wiped out forever.

No pen could ever trace Your art

O Lord, Your might leaves me in awe,
No pen could ever trace Your art.
The flawless world obeys Your law,
O Lord, Your might leaves me in awe.
From earth to sea, without a flaw,
Each piece reflects Your perfect heart.
O Lord, Your might leaves me in awe,
No pen could ever trace Your art.

Gone Without A Trace

He's betrayed my trust - so I might stay
Depends on THIS excuse he'll have to say

I'm not quite sure how he'll maintain being my friend
It's so sad that it was shot down, before it even begins

People only tell lies to you when they are afraid
'Cause in the back of his mind, he's talking to you to get laid

There seems to be no real commitment he needs
Guys just think about the next girl with whom they can breed

Dudes all over the world just think with their d!ck
I see them every day - so many - it makes me fvcking sick

Laughing and pointing at most Lesbian ladies
Like they have the audacity to talk - they just want babies

Then when it happens - it's a slap to his lying face
So he bounces up outta this place

Another single momma - doing it on her own
'Cause of a dude who lied to her - 'cause he wanted to bone

But when she's nesting and getting ready - he can't be found
Gone without a trace - gone without a sound

Trace Me

Let the breath of your mouth skim across my skin. Let your tongue trace every crevice, every ridge and curve, every valley and in between.

A Poem to trace back Niaz Murshed,the Internationally acclaimed Chess Grandmaster

The latest news about the Chess Grand master told the web space
That he joined the Independent University.
It took me to the referral of Time “Epoch,”
As the time travels through the walls of Jerusalem that boasted about
God chosen people and Godforsaken people
As the power club that boasted that they are the grammar book of ruling
That will be decisive in ruling the border wall and ruling the ordered paul
Are they not transitory after the longest day, for a long forgotten gown
That never took me to any convocation, or any place other than
Howls, growls or a frowning town?
As they too, understood I yearn sometimes, for an incomplete poem
To cast in situ in wrinkle free attire and casual gabardine pants.
Is it too hard to let the past go? Or, that too, falls in the category of fornication?
After all they never had to toil like elders for a non graduated school dress
To avoid a Kaplan failure , eternally to sit there in Baton Rouge!

Premium MemberCapt Smith's Immortal Words As The Titanic Sank Without A Trace

She was posh and built at enormous cost

   Alas, She was fated to be star-crossed

      Plunged to Her eternal grave

         Capt Smith gave a final wave

            And shouted, "Cheer up folks! All hope is lost!"

(Kathmandu, 2009)

Leave No Trace

Step into nothingness
my little one
let the Great Night swallow you whole
be a spark
be a fire
that gently burns away
to leave no trace
when the morning comes.

Lahaina leveled.. We see and hear; official tears
And maybe smears?? Melted glass temp 2000c.!
Yet plastic bins survived and also many trees?
(Thiugh dead inside?) one right
Above where two houses stood, metal car rims melted,
Things dont look; like they should.? Some firefighters
Say they have never worked..' And seen this kind of stuff
In spoteaneous events, so whats) or whos at work?? On
Some fiveteen fires this patterns been seen.' Not just
Random stuff, glad there are some out there keen. To see
What others arn't reporting.' Like garbage cans missing yet
No pools of plastic, to such lengths of searching they have
Resorted.' I hear the guvernor has passed ( a no sunshine
Law?) Its to block inhabitants reporting.? That must get
Them sore..' So many lost familiy lives and homes, when
They need compassion to recount.' To attempt a closure.?
Yet they find that opportunity (is owned?) I cant reconcile I
Can't apply usual values here: is it just absurd to even try?

Premium MemberVampire Sonnets Xxii Without a Trace

I rounded a street missing a lantern,
the heat in my eyes was starting to burn;
It felt like gravity was all but gone
my sharp fangs extended as I walked on;

Creeping closer still hidden completely
Fable stood a few feet ahead of me;
‘Recommendation: Don’t do that again.’
I said this but knew she would not abstain;

Knowing this I came an inch from her face
‘I’ll make you disappear without a trace.’
Being guided by such an angry force
every word was more than a little coarse;

Glowering at me she said ‘They will hunt you.’
 ‘They may’ I said ‘but respect I’ll accrue.’

Trapped by a physical space;
Restless spirit, vagabond
on a continual chase,
not all those who stay are home;
Creating peace with that slow pace
then off to the next journey;
Moving on without a trace,
doesn’t matter how friends respond;
Their vibe another can’t replace.

Premium MemberNot a Trace

Even the most familiar surroundings were unrecognized
A most fathomless affair; the search for yesterday
The Old Library and playground were also gone
The Chinaberry tree, a landmark, was gone
A most strange emotion hovered over me,
And every trace of the homesite was gone

Premium MemberA Trace

For all the events that my soul faced in
This life,
A trace I wish to live behind:
A poem reflecting upon each situation,
To share with those that will follow my passage in time;
My intention is not to teach or to inspire
But to show that
Nothing is new,
Nothing is unique, and
Nothing is everlasting!
