Misty mornings
as gray as matter of invisible time
A porch light is lit but there is no one home
Fogged up windows and street lamp tenors
a white wash sky achieves light
as a shutter opens the mind is restored,
it is no longer night.

Current price of a Cello by Istesso Netto

Once she was Pauroso now
she's Rinforzando.
Bisbigliando
:brusco, scordato
she must rehearse and study
to be an image of
perfection

Senza Spianato
and
Graevole Tratto

It causes me to wish you near
to make promises
to seek the responsibility of
our togetherness
Then until some half witted
meddler to try to pry us apart
One who wishes to Love like me
and expel you from my heart
trodden the browning grass
that autumn then is near
to reassure you of my sincerity
I kiss you as you are near

Pseudonyms

I changed the tone
completely distorting my sound
that he may never mock me again
Yet which he expected a Tenors tone
I bellowed a full bassy ensemble
of rhythmic jives
and quirks
Might he find me then
I shall be a Baritone
to counter act such intrugence
a countertenor perhaps
than he should
strain to be listened to!

"Today I am a joyous soul for across that bridge I will stroll." ~ poet

seraphs serenade the skies
strains unheard by mortal ears
chilling the darkness with notes
of ethereal richness

solo arias announce
the soulful songs of shadows
crossing the bridge to glory
extolling the most faithful

morning follows the lilting
cadence of aural tenors
singing of godly brilliance
with sweet angelic chorus

home at once, at once at home
soft as silken ribbons of
diaphanous tatted lace
comfortable and soothing

The Tenors Song

My wife told me she meet a guy.
She and I were having problems.
But she and I remained freinds and we
still lived together.
I bought her a phone for her birthday.
When she meet the guy she gave him
her number.
We switched phones days later.
She forgot to tell the man her new number.
Months went by and one day a guy texted me.
I was waiting for this.
I acted like my wife and talked to him.
I started flirting a he said he wanted to hook-up with me.
I said yeah and said I'd meet him at the "Chef Ritm's" Resturant.
I sat in the back. He came in: I started laughing.
He texted me
and I said I was outside.
I sat there looking at him.
I got up and walked right by him.
When I got outside I sat on my car.
I texted him and told him to comeout side.
Moments later he was outside looking around
and then...........( to be Continued!)

my way

My way (edited)
the three famous tenors sang, MY-Way
the fat one died, and the two others
hates each other
never appear in public together
One looks like an aging matinee idol
the other
suffers from being mobbed at school, looks
scared, has nightmares, and often takes to tears
I still like Frank Sinatra's version looks
relaxed, sings with clear diction
like a man going home after a night in a bar
Alas, he is also dead
My- Way is about human hubris,
we think we are masters of our destiny
but we blow along
where the wind, like autumn, leaves on an asphalt
of fortune takes us.
Thinking back (can afford to)
I never got a thing
my way just as good, I could not handle winning
the highest price, it would make me feel absurd
Yet, I dance tango in Buenos Aires
54 years ago, the applause still rings,
 in my ears

Premium MemberBlack and White

I am like an avalanche slithering in shivering angst,
free-falling into an abyss of an aching era,
where luminous lakes reflect pixelated regrets,
for time throws my canvas into splitting helplessness,
and mind plays tricks in aimless frequency,
framing toneless tenors within paralyzed psyche,
pushing and pulling ivory strings of my ebony heart.

Now I’m dwelling in the chaotic caves of a calculative carnivore,
unable to grasp the lunar light that envelopes forsaken fields,
while crooning caged memories, like a pensive nightingale,
pondering, would the moon ever untangle these starless thoughts?
Or was it written on the wailing walls of melancholic museums~
that I was meant to drown in dizzying darkness?

I’ll rest my pen in a glass casket of equations~
cloaking this crippled conscience from seeing beyond vague visions,
detached from kohl eyes, eager to steal my voice,
as I keep sinking in black and white polarity,
pausing curative prose in screeching silence.

When the Story Was Finished

Better than before
maybe this is the best
we doing our thing
and I must confess
i heard your tenors tone
through the cigar smoke
I laughed along when you
told that joke
you know the one with
the two baritones
the one who loved the soloist
and who wished to be alone
when he serenaded
the pretty woman
all stopped to see what
was going on
she smiled one day
and spoke his name
it changed everything
it rearranged
that's how I want it
with my gal
just like that
just like that

Gotta man thinking
he can be your everything
Thats the kinda joy
true love brings
gotta man changing from fool
to a man
thats the kinda woman
who compliments her man
got me feeling
you got me feeling this way

what can I say to those
that opposse
when they frown
and turn up there nose
what kinda words
makes everything okay

Can't satisfy everyone
work real hard
and have alot of fun
you got ah
fella feeling this way

I love my Lady
I'm her man
she's my Lady
I'm her Man!

The Puggles Dream

There was a cute puggle who snored up a song
When joeys hopped up bridging along,
Emu chicks joined with boom notes and grunts
Whilst dancing along with top wild stunts.

Penguins marched in forming a line
Tenors, Sopranos, Divas divine,
Bowerbirds trilled with whistles and squeaks
Then Aves had united with many techniques.

Ensemble was formed by powered forte
Rhythms caused riffs to encore that day,
And all this occurred when music was free
From snores made a song a large symphony.

Smiles Didn'T Make Ah Sound

Shall I turn to my audience and sing
To ah world who wishes to hear me
Sing
From intros to prechorus
They will excite or bore us
Does this world wish me to sing
I have sang many bridges
Carried ah tune or two
From verse to verse
The efforts the songwriter gave
In respect we must not neglect
The composers role in these
Collaborations
But, I
So we
Change the gender of
the love
Might the background singers
Compliment one another
Please let this blend with
Modern trends
It needs to fit in
It needs to fit in
To ride the wave
To number one
I want to tour bragging
Ain't to much to be asking
Maybe we can do it all
Again
Make it cool and different
We included something different
This song has two solos
One a conversation
A bassoon and flute
Wishes to groove with the bass
You should've seen the percussionists face
When the strange started grooving
The horns were ah tuning
Whomp ah whomp getting down
The flute took the show
To places voices couldn't go
Our smiles didn't make ah sound
When it returned to the tenors tempo
The horns started there solo
Putting the strings in the background.

Not a Fan

As much as I love music,
I’m not sorry to admit
That opera’s the exception,
For I like it not one bit.

It’s not that I don’t understand
The words (although that’s true),
But rather it’s the voices
All the critics ballyhoo.

Sopranos, tenors, baritones -
They all get on my nerves,
Then you toss in some vibrato
(Which no audience deserves),

Add some overdone emoting,
Make-up way beyond the top
And the flashiest of costumes -
I’d go on, but here I’ll stop.

Opera fans the whole world over
Are both cultured and refined,
But, though classical I covet,
Opera leaves me disinclined.

Premium MemberDesire and Aversion

Like diverse partners in a romantic tango
Ebbing and flowing through intricate steps,
Daily we wrestle with desire and aversion
Working in tandem contradictory concepts.
Wanting that which often repels our senses
Hedonistic pleasures do assault our mind,
Making us lust for things that are forbidden
Ethical compromises are so difficult to find.
The dancers separate and come together
In a delicate pattern that pleases the eye,
Achieving the pleasantry highly esteemed
A balance of life’s tenors we instinctively try.

Smiles and Kisses

what is n alto
said the unknowing soprano
to the unsurpecting tentor
who are the Alto's
whats a Bass
does it have a face
do Basses smile
and stay round a while
who are the sopranos do they polay pianos
do they speak to tenors
and invite them to dinner
are they the ones who like wine
and tips waiters when things are fine
who are the sopranos
and do they play pianos
shut-up: shut-up!@ the tenor
wants dinner with the soprano,
to be serenaded by the piano, such say's the tenor
who wishes to to have dinner, the alto might interrupt
while the others have sup
but it is far less likely,
the alto to spite me, might
the tenor propose and confess his love.
then what is dinner
and is this one a winner
we need to up our ratings
and for goodness sake ands
do we welcome this soprano
who has no piano
and what is so to such
that a tenor lucks up
what is than greater
and who's the best sing dater
do we speak of love
to what then do we trust
if we are warned to never love
what the whoomp, whoomp, whoomp!
