Premium MemberI Slowly But Swiftly Fell

I slowly fell deeply into a sensual daze
After the hours I kept his intense gaze.
Hoping what we have is not a phase,
As for what I am feeling, there is no phrase.

I swiftly fell the moment we kissed on his bed,
After the hours he waited, while I was in his head.
Wishing for his love, without a feeling of dread.
Wish came true, now no longer wish I was dead.

I am slowly falling into this newfound love
After I realized maybe he too was sent from above.
Hoping we can go further without push and shove,
So I patiently wait for days in which we belove.

I am grateful to have found him,
After he made love to me on a whim.
Wishing we are fish in the ocean meant to swim
Together beneath all waves even when dim.

So Swiftly

Smoky odour of burning wood,
Aches me this foggy morning
Sun shines at noon,
Just as bright as it did before,
Then near evening it flows down, like water
It all happened so swiftly I couldn't notice,
The fire go out, and the smell fade away
All that's there is the memory of the remaining ash

Premium MemberMy Matthew

Fifty years ago today, on this National Holiday,
I was busy laboring away..
At the tender age of twenty-two God blessed
me with a son, Matthew..
Heaven opened up above and brought a baby boy to love..
All mothers know that special bond, the first birth, that number one..
I watched him grow from boy to man and gradually released my hand..
The years have passed much too swiftly.
My boy to man is now age fifty!!
My only son, my greatest blessing. A mother's pride is worth professing..

Premium MemberSwiftly the Miles Fly By

Traveling along country roads for many miles. Early morn's sun blinding my eyes. Outside chill blocked by the internal warmth of the truck and swiftly the miles fly by my eyes.

azaleas in blossom
spring green leaves begin to show....
buzzards circle high

An occasional far spaced farm then homes become closer together indicating
a small rural town. The beauty of spring inspired by man surrounds each home.
Dogwoods in white and some pink adorn their yards. So much pride shown in the surroundings. Passing a country town church sign "Find Hope This Easter".

hope springs in spring
roadside wildflowers flourish....
farmers plant their crops

Grancy greybeard(fringetree) and snowball bush decorate some yards. Such
refreshing species to add interest to our drive. Then we came around our home and down to the creek. I was welcoming the swallows that flew around us as we drove through the grass stirring up bugs. So delighted that they are back. I love their aerial antics and they eat so many bugs. Such a nice ending to my day out.

Premium MemberYears Swiftly Flew By

The last ten years swiftly flew by;
everyone seems so much older,
I barely recognize faces.

And over time, I've realized;
loyalties and friendships form
on a temporary basis.

Old age, indeed, levies a toll;
my health deteriorated,
and I sometimes feel all alone.

I have trouble falling asleep;
for my back is in constant pain,
and what's causing it is unknown.

I'm bald; there is no hair to comb,
and dentures have replaced my teeth;
my legs ache, and I use a cane.

I've found no upside to aging;
technology screws with my mind,
and it does no good to complain.

Swiftly Growing Anger

Swiftly growing anger
Dies rapidly
As the ice melts when the fire
Comes close to it.

Premium MemberSwiftly Fly

The seconds swiftly fly
Each filled with some new sound
A lowing of a calf's sigh
One bee buzzes nectar bound

Hummingbirds' wings whir
Crickets' chatter joins in
Roosters crow as they stir
Down in the foggy glen

A golden sun illuminates
The drenched scene after the storm
Rain and dew upon the grass
A new presence born_

There is a breeze from the north
Cool air surrounds my place
It calls me to come forth
This pleasant morning embrace

All of nature seems alive
The hummingbird feeds again
Mockingbirds fight contrived
One tried to steal other's den

A few minutes on the porch
To thank God for this day
His presence fills me with strength
Help me to not stray

The Times That Swiftly Come Unending Seems

XXXVII

The times that swiftly come unending seems
And gently stalks the prey with gradual pace
Which melts away with cold but fiery beams
That make fair game of men that fall from grace

The past replaced by trivial novelty
And present ways has seen its better days
The future worship its technology
Man’s ingenuity gets all the praise

We can’t confuse the right or wrong with just
The old or new for good does not grow old
Nor sin turn from the same deceitful lust
But truth the daring souls eternal hold

By every nerve and sinew strained resist
The timely error that pervert and twist

Years Swiftly Pass

The years have swiftly passed,
Anniversaries and birthdays have come and gone,
But the days that linger the longest,
Are the days I spend missing you.

Lasting memories are preserved in my mind,
More picturesque than photos in time.
The voices I still hear are yours and mine,
Whispering we'll always love each other,
Till the end of time.

The Sundays spent just filling in crossword puzzles,
And recapturing those long walks on the beach.
Running off for a weekend getaway,
To just escape the daily hassles of life that way.

Sitting in the garden late at night,
Watching the fireflies glow so bright.
Gazing at the stars as they twinkled at night,
Igniting memories to last through our life.

These are the things I cherish the most,
Just remembering the days we shared.
Building memories to last forever,
To recall at any moment I need you near.

In one swift stay
A solid say

In one swift stride
A message rides

In one swift breeze
A better squeeze

In one swift turn
A hustle burns

In one swift touch
More speaks as such

In one swift show
The rancid flow

In one swift pace
The fall from grace

Life Here Can Be--Taken Away Swiftly

Live for the Moment
Live for the day
Live Life to the fullest
in every way...
Life can be taken away swiftly
here today... gone tomorrow

Time is true essence
Life here grows short
Never know when
another soul
Shall depart..
Gone be with Our Lord

Live for each moment in time
as if it be your last
minutes.. hours..
days.. months..
years... here
go by quickly
then they be in past

Never know..
When tis be
Time to go..
Eternity

Tis All need to Wake up and see
What beauty God has giving to thee..
Life here.. beholding blessings of Love
and The Greatest of All
              --God's Gift of Divine Love
                         Eternal Life

As we know
within this earth.. here
is just a moment.. in time..
moments flash by..
Can be.. gone..
Just as swift..
This is No Myth...

Don't waist another precious moment
Take this Moment say..
Tell someone right away.. " I Love You'''

Don't let moments slip by
For you never know...
when either of our live's here.. tis goes..

         "I Love You".. deeeply..
Keep Shining.. Your Loving Heart
No Matter what..
Always Strive to Save Souls.. For Christ

Come Swiftly

This World.
  So full of discord.
 Come swiftly my Lord.

I Love your joy and your peace.
You offer such a sweet release,
as all the pain rolls down my cheeks.

 You've caught them one,
you've caught them all.
Not one tear is left to fall.

Seek you know and you shall find,
His sheep he shall not leave behind.
 Come swiftly my Lord,
and I shall run
on the streets of new Jerusalem.

Revelation 21:2 I saw the Holy city, the new Jerusalem
coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride beautifully dressed
                                         for her husband.
