Notes About The Poem

Swiftly Fly

The seconds swiftly fly
Each filled with some new sound
A lowing of a calf's sigh
One bee buzzes nectar bound

Hummingbirds' wings whir
Crickets' chatter joins in
Roosters crow as they stir
Down in the foggy glen

A golden sun illuminates
The drenched scene after the storm
Rain and dew upon the grass
A new presence born_

There is a breeze from the north
Cool air surrounds my place
It calls me to come forth
This pleasant morning embrace

All of nature seems alive
The hummingbird feeds again
Mockingbirds fight contrived
One tried to steal other's den

A few minutes on the porch
To thank God for this day
His presence fills me with strength
Help me to not stray

Just read poem again. It is a great explanation of life as it does exist. Hope God keeps us on path so we will not stray. We always need him.

James, I am mostly worried about me and keeping me on the right path but if everyone would attempt to get on the right path all of the problems of the world would settle down because God would be in control. Thanks for the visit to my page and the kind review of my work. Sara

Sounds absolutely divine, Mrs Sara. Nothing like a fresh morning after a rain. A most enjoyable read:)
