XXXVII The times that swiftly come unending seems And gently stalks the prey with gradual pace Which melts away with cold but fiery beams That make fair game of men that fall from grace The past replaced by trivial novelty And present ways has seen its better days The future worship its technology Man’s ingenuity gets all the praise We can’t confuse the right or wrong with just The old or new for good does not grow old Nor sin turn from the same deceitful lust But truth the daring souls eternal hold By every nerve and sinew strained resist The timely error that pervert and twist
