PASSING
Never knew pain like this pain
Never hurt so bad as now
Never cried out in the dark
Just grit my teeth and hunker down
It’ll pass, it’ll pass
Never knew my mind could go there
Never hurt down to my core
Never felt alone so much
Just shut my eyes tight (so tight so)
This’ll pass, this’ll pass
When all the what-ifs are probably true
When there’s no more string to hold onto
You face yourself, your sorry self
Sorry for all the did-nots
Sorry for all the “shoulds”
(Everybody knows i hate that word)
Should have dot dot dot
Should not have dot dot dot
Never knew I’d be so frightened
Never knew hurt world single me out
Never has my soul cried out
Just left me bereft on the floor
One hand holding my phone,
The other a bottle of vodka.
It’s gonna pass, it’s gonna pass.

Eyes gleam onyx-black, white silky hair gently flows
Pampered with kisses, hugs and chic bows
It's Suzanne's impish Maltese
The first lap dog, from Old Greece
Sparking heart-rending love which glows, spreads and grows

No butterflies at Christmas time, you and I know why
they'd freeze their wings and wouldn't stand a chance
inside this wintry Palace of snow and fanfare glow.
But little Suz with her happy trails of dreams galore
asked Santa for a butterfly, she wanted nothing more.
One with summer wings that could dart, flit, and fly
one that could light the room like a cloudless blue sky
one that could take her away to a place oh, so high.
Upon this firmament of earth what would a holiday be
without the assistance of a magic fairy's glee
So, it was on that diamond studded Holy night
that a fairy appeared wearing wings way too tight
she nipped at her pillow and whispered in her ear
"Help me get these pinions off, won't you be a dear!"
Little Suz with eyes so big touched the spongy wings of blue
they were warm and cradle soft, filled with morning dew
Soon the fairy left her side off to Netherland she flew
to get another pair of wings, with her Halo all askew.

She is gracious, skillful and filled with true love,
Dense weight on her shoulder to help those in need,
Utopian woman selected from above,
Malice absent, but poetry her daily feed,
Doesn`t compromise as regards perfection,
She`s voted as the VOICE without election,
Pride and oppression she detests to the core,
Her traits and values many damsels adore.

A black bee on a red rose
sucking honey with its pose
flapping wings rest a while
sticking sting having smile
Yellow pollen tastes much
flies to next give buzz
night's food needs to pile

To watch the early nightfall peep, as I
Relish the scent of air passing nearby,
While verdant grassland breathes of newborn hay
Unwinding the busy haze of Friday;
The ripple of homespun hours wafts and then
A dappled sky folds plates undone,
Till softened kisses moist a wheezing breeze
Jealous the stars eavesdrop, of love’s caprice
On resting arms, like trellis in a shade
Blue robins tweet and daffodils parade,
As warm caresses glaze lamplights, wherein
Solace from our dreamy eyes lulls Friday’s spin.

The stream meanders down the rocks where I
Look upwards and hope that surely the sky
Creates the shade for the water to view
Along the sides of the bank is more blue
Where the center to the stream turns all white
And frothy where the stone juts out despite
Finally the stream leads to a grand pool
Where fish reside, I act not like a fool
By the algae gets eaten from below
The sides of gorgeous rocks that we don’t know
Where the life comes from all real compassion
Great sign of a foreign crafted passion
Heart of gold, the middle of the forest
Is surely this scene of prime non-disgust
Where this signature warm place pleads to me
Of coming power unlike any plea

Along the path, I think of you.
Along the trees of gray.
And too, I think, it's good I do.
Within this shadow play.
Where sunlight's but a peekaboo,
The waters pigged a Prussian blue,
And the empty seat that misses you,
In my dowdy cabriolet.

Eight legged hairy spider
We can see it everywhere
It can’t fly but with a long and sticky web
Insects will stuck and grab it with speed
On one moonless starry night
The shadow of a spider is in sight
Combined with color orange and black
On top of the giant leaves ready to attack
On its throne between two trees
Lies a perfect web for flying insects
A home for a king with fangs so big
Perfect position for grabbing flies on twigs

The dancing all night was what Suz
loved most about taking a cruise.
In her beautiful gown
she felt very let down,
for she'd packed only tennis shoes!
The next day a big lizard on a
warm beach crawled on Suz's friend Shawna.
Guys who ogled her bust
tried to say they were just
enthralled by the lovely iguana.
