Can true love be anywhere found?
Will the loving heart be very sound?
Just by seeing something better
Or for totally a frivolous matter
Will a heart plan to separate?
Will it then negatively operate?
Viewing from the point of money
Will it leave creating great agony?
Or will my looks give at last boredom?
Or am I a casual selection at random?
In case I suffer any deep adversity
Will that soul stop loving activity?
Will my drawbacks and my setbacks
Force that soul to change tracks?
My dear, if you have plans to leave
Do it now, as I will briefly only grieve
But, after giving me great hope
If you decide to ruthlessly dupe
I will become sad and mad
Let not sorrow be by me had
Say Goodbye now and depart
I will safeguard my loving heart
Hopefully I now have an expectation
That you will cause me no dejection
Let me pray to the greatest Almighty
That your love for me will be plenty.

Please decide firmly your life's aim
Via toiling, success you can claim
In case you are driven by lethargy
Will get wasted your whole energy
If postponement is, by you, made
How can you succeed my comrade?
Very easy to put off things lazily
Victory loves one who works busily
Fools quit by terminating their hope
Against pressures they Can't cope
Wise souls swim against ill-luck
And win through sheer hard-work
When setbacks come, losers weep
When opportunities come, they sleep
Wise people trap via brain chances
Their mind and ideas, trust enhances
If you go ahead with a firm attitude
You will win as you are damn shrewd
Never flinch and lose courage dear
Tear and fear are enemies to cheer.

My uncle,... so like Dad!
But a stout, big bellied version with different gait.
Joy he had!
But unlike Dad
Who was a town guy and refined,
No fad!
Busy,
Tending the farm.
Free!!
My uncle,... so like Dad
Who was a town guy and refined!!
Free!!!

Uncle was a stout version of dad
Which I found quite interesting.
And a very different lifestyle he led.
Dad was a fastidious medical guy
But uncle just a farm worker
Content just to get by.
He lived on a white man's farm
Amidst the kalahari desert thickets
Where jackals often brought harm.
Their abode was a land of milk
Although the flies were everywhere.
But against hunger they had a shield!

Stout Hearted Men
Alas for the Irish ‘tis fate
to drown in Guinness this date
and “quietly” shout
hoorah for the “stout”
‘Tis an insatiable thirst I must sate

stout or
porter
porter
or stout
I’ll weep
myself to
to sleep
if I have
to be without
my heart is as heavy
as my burdens are old
and neither find solace
in that lager served cold
I need something bitter
not a pilsner, too yellow
reserve that lighter brew
for a that happier fellow
I hope you don’t think
my words are too terse
for airing my druthers
with a rhyme and verse
but I tell you this man
I will have to make bail
if you fill up my glass
with an India Pale Ale
a beer dark and thick
with velvety bubbles
is the only thing that
will stifle my troubles
so be fast on the draw
but slow with the pour
if I wanted more head
I would get me a whore
and if I haven’t been clear
let me leave you no doubt
if you are serving me beer
I’ll take a porter, or stout

Betty the Little black stout cat
Was busy chasing a Rat
Like Tom in the cartoon Tom and Jerry
You know their rows are a little scary
When suddenly her paw got stuck on the mat
And she fell on her nose flat
